:awesome: That is one cut Queen.

New posters and banner are superb, if this improves on the first film even a little I wil enjoy it.

Are we only getting one trailer(or an international one)? Maybe they are letting this sink or swim based on the first one.

^I imagine we will get another trailer towards the end of this month, its not out until the end of March so that will give it some more buzz before-hand.

Can't wait. Loved the first movie and the line "you are half a god which makes you stronger than both." Any half-blood/orphan/adoptee (yes percy jackson reference in part) can probably dig that.

Spoiler:

Why is Zeus saying that humans are stronger than the gods? He could not mean power-wise, could he?
Maybe the gods lack strong will and hope, have nothing to fight for, are quite easy to bring down with some talking since they are no more than just a supernatural being and nothing more.

He didn't say that. He said "you'll learn that being half human makes you better than just a god." And this makes him better than humans as well. Now I don't want to sound like I have a ego or something, but while it sometimes sucks being an orphan - we're the strongest and most prepared in many cases out there because we have a certain strength and will from that that when channelled right can let us overcome incredible odds. My being an orphan got me where I am - what many would consider a dream film industry job and life, at only 23. Same goes for why many heroes are orphans.

Basically, he was saying - you come from a land of two people - you have our strengths and you have theirs. That makes you more powerful than both. Not to mention the hardships that come with that. Hey, you are the guys fascinated by us "aliens" lol (basically every superhero is one) - guessing you've got it from here. But, that's what he was implying towards. "Child of two worlds" strength.

He said "You'll learn that being half-human makes you stronger than a God", but yes, he does mean that Perseus has the best of both worlds, which is an advantage to his favor in the battle.

There is another trailer, exclusive to Phantom Menace 3D prints. It's in 3D and it's in flat (contrary to the Scope trailer that came out a month or so ago), and has some new shots.

- A longer shot of Perseus flying Pegasus with the trident weapon
- One or two more shots of Rosamund Pike's Andromeda
- A few more CGI shots
- The final shot of Kronos has some lava streaks flying at the camera (an obvious 3D gag)

It's basically an extended version of the first trailer.

/\ Not exclusive to Phantom Menace. That trailer has been attached to every 3D film I've seen.

It's the first time I've seen it, but this is the first time I've seen a new trailer attached to a 3D film. Every theater has their own policies regarding new trailers and where to put them...

First time you've seen it, but dude - trust me, I've been to two different theaters now for 3D films and I've seen it at both theaters. It's not an exclusive. An exclusive is TDKR having a prologue with only some MI IMAX prints. This trailer is playing with every 3D film out there from what I can tell... you are right on one account though - if memory serves me right - it STARTED with Phantom but it's been playing everywhere since then along with the Amazing Spider-Man 3D trailer. And this is the suburbs, not in a big city and at one high pristine theater and one not so well off. Basically, by now? It's everywhere. Titans and ASM are basically guaranteed if it's in 3D.

Being half-human shouldn't be better on the battlefield. I mean, gods are mighty beings, superior to demigods. But I guess it all depends on the writer.
Perhaps it's only something they put in to make the audience feel better, knowing that there's no limit for how far a human can go.

The Gods' strenght is proportional to the faith humans have in them. As we learned in Clash of the Titans, mankind has abandoned the Gods, which is exactly why they're no longer able to keep the Titans at bay. So, at this situation, being human is what allows Perseus to keep up on his own in the battlefield.

Or the gods can show their face on Earth to make people believe in them.

I find the words more stressing the human qualities that will allow us to endure after the Gods are long gone. Is he as physically or magically as strong as a God? No. But what he lacks in strength, he makes up with quality human traits. Ingenuity, compassion, a strong will.

It's not as much "I don't believe in the Gods" as it is "I f***ing hate the Gods and won't pray for them any longer".

Exactly! Talents/skills/"powers" from one lineage. Morality from another.

Then the gods can do good deeds. It's either not pray for the gods and be ruled by Hades or pray to the gods and be ruled by Zeus. The first movie was all the place. The gods losing power decide to punish the humans to make them hate them more??? Every instance of blasphemy was met with deity intervention yet the mortals continued to push it more knowing they would lose. So, Zeus sends the Kraken who then wants Perseus to defeat it.

Years of abuse and manipulation cancelled by a few good deeds? That's now how humans work.

The new trailer definitely looks like three action set pieces strung together with people standing around talking.

I'm not mad though.

This actually looks more entertaining than the first one, but we shall see. It kindof reminds me of Jason and the Argonauts in ways, but with better graphics.
I'm not caught up on my greek mythology, but what Titan is supposedly the most powerful? In orginal the Kraken seemed to be the one, but man that lava giant looked badass imo. I don't know if these are made up Titans or ones grabbed from actual Greek Mythology?
