Classic Rock appreciation thread

classic rock depends on what you consider 'classic'. its timeless stuff for me that sounds good no matter what decade it was made in.

I agree and disagree. I think that Oasis, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, and Nirvana sound good, but they aren't classic rock. To me, the real 'classic rock' is from when The Beatles broke into America in 1964 to the death of John Lennon and the break up of Led Zeppelin in 1980. Also bands that started in that window are classic rock bands through their careers. Therefore bands like new material by old bands are classic rock songs. And just because something isn't classic rock, it's not bad. I like tons of bands that don't fit in my classic rock

Not sure, but I have gotten "Highway Companion" by Tom Petty, which is the best new album in a long time.

Just saw this. This album was one of my faves of 2006. Din't want to skip one single song (though, Saving Grace is my fave track).

I appreciate Classic Rock

Ha!

Where's Anthonynasti? He's usually first to post in threads like these (and posted a lot when this was alive the first time). And where's JLBats. He's been gone forever.
