I'm just amazed people are still talking about this particular film.
I would have thought people would run out of things to discuss about it.

This isnt just a movie. And after spending 6 months of disecting everything thats it about. Of course people are still gonna be talking about it!!!

I saw this the other day... and I have to say... I am done with these home camera films... yet movie makers still think its interesting even after Blair Witch. I vomitted after seeing it. I think I'll pass on the sequel if its done in the same format again if there even is one. THe acting was atrocious (as was expected) but the camera motion killed it for me.

yes it is. its a popcorn movie. its nothing original, nothing special. no standout performance. I'm just amazed that people still bother to talk about it.
What is the appeal? I suppose in the end I'm looking for a few answers.

I expect ladies MAYBE 70 years old + ladies to get queasy while watching a movie, im really suprised how many sensitive stomach people there are.

But it does not effect the quality of the film, and that is all that matters.

I should not have to invest 6 months of my life to enjoy a movie.

But it effects the fans emotions and how they feel about the film because of the 6 month experience.

I agree, the marketing of this film was brilliant and really once in a lifetime because of how they were so secretive, especially during filming!

The film is a monster movie which we havn't gotten too many of those, especially good ones like The Host, plus this is America's monster.

The decision to film the film as a hand held, personally view, was really a very rare treat and the film is really a great watch!

It just isnt the same if you didnt see that teaser with Transformers, the mystery, theorys, lunatics on IMDb, that is what made this movie.

How about all those crazy youtube videos people made that were sure it was godzilla or cthulu or pokemon!? Ahh those were the days.
