Well, I think that they only meant he was a baby mentally. If he is only a baby physically, his head may be in the clouds once he reaches adulthood.

Where did you wath the making of Cloverfield? I really want to see it.

The place I own got the shipment today.

Wait, the monster is a baby? I didn't know this.

Yeah in the special feature of the making of the creature the maker says he is newly hatched. And I am pretty sure now that you saw the egg at the end, you can see it come out of the sky at a angle on the DVD.

Even though it'd be interesting to see how big it'd be, I think it'd be best if it stayed this size and was only a baby mentally. If it is a baby physically, unless it isn't going to grow that much more, it'd be close to or over 800 ft tall, if not taller.

Clover really doesn't need any powers. He/she has those forelimbs that looked as if they ended in paddles. Clover could *****slap Kong something fierce.

I really think Clover is going to be the mother/father of all monsters. As for him having powers, he doesn't have to, I was just wondering if anyone thought he should have some sort of powers.

I thought that was a satellite or something? But it would be cool if it is an egg.

That was a guess, we really have no real idea what it is. But on the DVD it looks like a black blob almost.

It could be really tall, who knows.

Not from what I have watched.

Also the bloopers were great.

I don't think anything is going to be able to stop this thing, especially if it grows as tall as I think it will.

Oh, in that case no. He's already sturdy enough. I think he can fend for himself.

Yeah, he already seems to be incredibly strong so as his size increases, his strength should as well.

Well since my place got the DVD today, not surprised it is out there now.

I may search for it later as I really want to hear for myself what was said in the special featurettes.

Did they show any concept art designs that didn't make the final cut?

There were some shots of it sorta like in a ball with its legs up close to itself, there were also some early ideas of him.

Can't wait to see them, I'm so anxious to see it that my stomach is starting to hurt. I'm still stuck on this thing being a newborn! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Yep, sure is, it's made me even more pumped for the sequel which I hope we get by 2009 or 2010 at the latest.

We'll probably get a teaser with 'Star Trek'... no title though, Abrams has shown signs of that with two other films he's produced('Star Trek' & 'Cloverfield' premiere trailer/teasers), anyways, it would make sense if that were to happen. I see them making 'Cloverfield II' since they surpassed what they had spent on the first film in the box-office.

Yeah, movies can usually get a sequel when their money comes in better quantities than what they spent. The effects in the first movie was great for the budget they had so with more money, I expect the effects to be better and they'll probably be able to do even more with the story.

Yeah, better then 'Spider-Man 3' even; which in my opinion, the effects looked 'cartoony' if you may, just as Ebert & Roeper put it. And that film had more money put into it! Proves that money should be spent wisely on that kind of stuff.

No, the effects weren't better than in SM-3. The Sandman formation scene alone just looked as real as could be.
