I like to think of it this way, Hunter is the rain on your parade, C.Lee is the whole damn flood.
So.... The magnificent "Sons Of The Batman Forum" is a place to come and talk about...
Moderators.
Nice work, guys. WAY more interesting than the Joker thread.

That doesn't explain the need for this group.Think of it this way......in law enforcement terminology, Hunter Rider is the local police....I am a Fed.
Hunter is the mod assigned to this forum. He will be in here more than me. We expect for people to follow the rules and listen to Hunter if he says to back off or stop it when it comes to arguments and flaming. Some posters will inevitably think they are above following the rules and think that they can say or do whatever they want to....no matter how mean, cruel, or idiotic.
That's when I come in....and people realize how nice and kind Hunter is.

Spend a small amount of time reading through this and other message boards on the net. An absence of civility among users is steadily growing. People think that discussion means call the other guy derogatory names. people think that debate means beat your opponent down with rudeness and crudeity instead of facts and common sense.
I find it sad....that when someone says Let's be nice to each other....that we would have anyone who would complain about that. People are actually complaining that others ask to be treated with respect. people are complaining that others are asking for intelligent thoughtful responses to posts instead of juvenile snide, rude, crude, inappropriate comments.
The SHH is a site for fans of comic books and comic book related media to come together and discuss their mutual interests. The fact that some have to start a thread and or club like this to ask for a little civility among people is a sad commentary on the state of fandom today....but I understand it. I believe in civility. I believe in being kind and friendly towards others.
Is it really so hard to not be mean to others? Is it really so difficult to not act like a bully and spend all day attacking others? Is it really so hard to show others the respect that you hope that others will show you?
I find it wonderful that some are finding the courage to actually stand together and say that they will not accept rudeness as an inevitable price for posting on the internet.

Ok here's the Deal.
This is an open call to the more established mature members of the Batman boards to help keep this place a civil environment for posters to express themselves and their views without risk of reprisal.
Rules in becoming a member:
All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never underestimate your opponent. Expect the unexpected. Two, take it outside. Never start anything inside the bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.
Edit: #2 - Oops, I mean never start anything inside the thread. Just ask them to be civil. Don't use abusive language in return. Just call a Mod.
Also list it in your sig. that you are a member, ie. - Member of SOTBF or something like that.
Again, I want you to be nice until it's time to not be nice. Just report it to the mods.
Remember, nobody ever wins a fight.

We need to take this idea over to the Superman boards.
