Community - Part 3

It's their fault for hiring him: Chevy is well known to be a serious dick. Any number of formerly-famous comedians could have filled the role and gotten Community its original funding.

Ugh. Once again...I actually love Chevy and think he is hilarious. But honestly Community would be just fine without him. He needs to shutup.

Chevy took a shot at Louis CK today too. He makes it very hard to like him considering how legendarily funny Chevy is. :(

I don't get it.He was irrelevant for years before the show. His ego is crazy.

For a guy who's had to resort to movies like Snow Day to get lead roles, he's definitely got a pretty big sense of entitlement.

He may be speaking what he feels but its free publicity for the lowly watched Community.

I liked that backhanded compliment to his co-stars. "It's not like I am working with the great innovators of all time, but at the same time, they are my friends." Nice. But whatever. I'm sure he's not the only person in Hollywood who's a jerk. Maybe he'll eventually get fed up with working the hours for such a s***ty end result and just leave, allowing the showrunners more time to focus on the characters who are actually funny. :)

What if this is partly for the publicity of the show?

Then Chevy's a stand-up guy to make himself look like a total *****e to boost ratings. But given his reputation and history of hating on Dan Harmon, I'm guessing it's not an act on his part.

I don't get how people are seeing calling the series the biggest mistake of his career/lowest form of television as "free publicity".

Yeah, but in that event, he'd have to be acting like a much bigger *****ebag.

Example: Charlie Sheen.

Then Chevy's a stand-up guy to make himself look like a total *****e to boost ratings. But given his reputation and history of hating on Dan Harmon, I'm guessing it's not an act on his part.

Yeah, that's why I think it'd be partly. One would think all this bad mouthing would stop with Harmon being gone. But, it continues.

What he says now doesn't sound as bad as before and doesn't seem about any personal issues he has with anyone person in particular, but still good enough to get people to just focus on it enough to have Community on their minds. What TV Guide has done is the perfect example. There's other stuff in the Huffington Post article, but TV Guide zeroed in on Community. Now, that's all people will really talk about.

So, yeah. He's still being his *****ey self, but helping the show.

Gillian Jacobs will be on The Mortified Sessions on Sundance next week.

NBC Delays COMMUNITY, Moves the Return of WHITNEY to Fridays
by Dave Trumbore Posted: October 8th, 2012 at 6:13 pm

NBC continues to kick Community to the curb. The studio announced today that it would be bumping the season four return of the fan-favorite show from their expected Friday, October 19th date to an unspecified future date. Sophomore comedy series, Whitney, will also be moving to Fridays, but that show’s debut date is up in the air as well. NBC cited the need for more time to make a marketing push in the case of each series.

I can’t imagine that Community needs to be marketed any more, with the off-season fireworks of creator/showrunner Dan Harmon being let go; the fourth season will be run by Moses Port and David Guarascio. I also can’t imagine a scenario in which marketing will get me to watch Whitney. In the meantime, NBC will air re-runs of the first season of Grimm from 8-9pm on Fridays, which will lead into new episodes of the supernatural procedural. Hit the jump to see who will be returning to Community if and when it returns.

THR reported that NBC would be delaying Community yet again. Assuming this is just business as usual and the show will actually return this fall, here’s a look at who you can expect to see at Greendale Friday nights:

The entire core cast of the show is returning, including Joel McHale, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Chevy Chase, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash.

Newcomes include the recently added Brie Larson, James Brolin as Winger’s dad, Malcolm McDowell as a history professor and fellow faculty member, Matt Lucas. Let’s hope that we get to see all of these guest stars soon.

Can NBC move the return of Whitney to NEVER? :o

Can NBC move off a goddamn cliff and leave Community and Go On behind?

You would just leave Parks and Rec to die?...

You are no friend of mine. Good day... I said GOOD DAY! :cmad:

F**K NBC.

And Sawyer, you already heard the news. Let's storm NBC together!

October 7, 2012 05:16 PM PDT Exclusive: Community Books Brie Larson For Season 4 — But Who Is She Playing?

Michael Ausiello

Community
has made another A+ hire.

The NBC comedy, which has already recruited James Brolin, Malcolm McDowell and Matt Lucas for Season 4 stints, has tapped the comically gifted Brie Larson (United States of Tara, 21 Jump Street) to guest star, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The actress will play… a character whose identity is being kept under lock and key. All we can confirm is that Larson will appear in this season’s seventh episode, which finds Dean Pelton planning a “Sadie Hawkins” dance at Greendale.

Is Back!
Britta, meanwhile, plans a competing “Sophie B. Hawkins” dance in protest — there’s just one problem: Britta has confused Sophie B. Hawkins with, um, Susan B. Anthony.

Community is set to return on Oct. 19 at 8:30/7:30c.

F**K NBC.

And Sawyer, you already heard the news. Let's storm NBC together!

Storming the joint seems a bit excessive for a delay.

When this gets ****canned though, I'll start making the molotov cocktails.
