The Dark Knight Rises Concerns about TDKR

I do wonder if Nolans basic script had TDK pretty much end things at the hospital. But then got input from the studio to do a big digital thing with the cell phones and have all that ferry stuff! The former would've been cool!

Jonathan said in an interview that he had the ferry thing in the original script, the two of them decided to scrap it at some point, but then Chris came back and suggested that they put it back in. Personally I wish the movie ended with the Joker sticking out of that cop car. :woot:

The writers guild must've been crazy to nominate that filthy script. They dare make thematic sense?

No concerns at all now. I wanted Catwoman to be in this movie, and I really didn't want a League of Shadows retread with Talia(although I guess it's still possible that she's in the movie).

-Hathaway looking stupid/ugly as Catwoman
-Bane looking stupid
-The tone being too serious
-Action that happens too fast
-Batman not being smart enough
-A joyless looking Batcave
-Bad deilvery (in terms of dialog)
I actually agree with those.

-Stupid looking Bat related vehicle
-Stupid Batman voice returning
-Hathaway looking stupid/ugly as Catwoman
-Bane looking stupid
-The tone being too serious
-Action that happens too fast
-Batman looking stupid again because of his mask
-Dumb jokes
-Batman not being smart enough
-A joyless looking Batcave
-Bad deilvery (in terms of dialog)

My concern is we'll get more childish comments like this one for the next year and a half.

And while it's quoted, I disagree with all those concerns. I've learned the finish product is what matters most, and after TDK, Nolan has earned my complete trust.

I'm with the General.

You know what he means. An over the top batcave with catwalks over the abyss, the giant penny and T-Rex, the gizmos, giant computer, etc as opposed to a dry batcave with an empty space for the car and a few computer screens.

I hope he has a poster of Wonder Woman tacked to the wall.

And a bean bag chair.

Catwalks and giant computer, fine. But I doubt we'll see the giant penny or the T-Rex.

But it's patently obvious from BB and TDK that we're not going to get that kind of fantastical, theme park Bat cave in a Nolan film. I'm all for expressing desires, but they'd have more weight if they were realistic desires.

my concern is that Hans has a falling out with Chris after the the whole GG debacle not winning best score... he quits and takes Newton-Howard with him... :O and to the lad who said don't make it too Chicago... we may not even have it anymore! you'll be complaining that it's too New Orleans...

I believe in Chris Nolan and I support his choices for Selina and Bane. They both are great actors. But I have a little nagging voice inside of me that is a little worried that this movie will fall under the curse of the sequel. Meaning the third move in a movie trilogy not being as good as the previous two films.

I feel like Chris was pressured into doing a third bat film from Warner Bros and the fans. Obviously the death of Heath really hit Chris hard and he publicly stated that be would be fine with The Dark Knight ending his bat film story arch. I feel like the third movie's story will be lacking without the presence of the Joker or at least mentioned considering the events of TDK.

All that aside I am still excited! Chris Nolan is a talented filmmaker and bif anyone can pull of a strong bat trilogy it's him.

Yeah i know that, but it can still be jaw dropping even without that stuff as opposed to being boring and flat like the bunker.

My other concern is what they have planned for the vehicle situation. I really hope we don't get a plane.

I was hoping for Catwoman/Bane I got my wish
I was hoping Anne Hathaway was casts over the other female candidates . Got my wish

I am hoping to win the lotto- Better start playing.

I have no concerns at all . I get the feeling this may play out like a noir which would be perfect

Goyer said they planned 3 films when they created BB. I don't think Nolan was pressured into anything by WB. I think he had 3 films in mind and is finishing up his story.

Statistically, this film will probably not be as good as TDK. Yes, the Joker is arguably the best villain in the Batman universe and the third film will lack the character.

However, given what he's stated in interviews regarding sequels, I think Nolan views this as a challenge to overcome rather than just cranking out another film.

My biggest concern is whether or not Catwoman will make it out of the film alive. It would be very irritating if Nolan pulls the "dead girlfriend" trick again, its become a very dead horse for him after Inception.

Doesn't sound like it can be, by your standards.
If it is as extravangant as in the comics it'd be sweet, but i honestly dont see it happening. Still, it can be really awesome even without all the comicbooky stuff. For example the batcave in Forever was pretty sweet i think.
