Maverick is a strategist so before the fight he'll gather every scrap of info he can find on her, he'll even go as far as sneaking into the Avengers HQ to analyze their files. Once he has the info he needs he'll pack accordingly. When he actually gets in the battle he's start nailing on her with guns, now it doesn't say what her body is made of but I assume she's made ou of admantium because she was made by Ultron. Mav has fought Wolverine so he'll be expierienced with fighting against admantium. He'll aim for any type of gap or crack in her anything that will give him the edge. Once he's found a weakspot in her armor he'll focus but everytime she starts shooting him with eye beams or using her forcefield Mav will get a little stronger. Her computer interagation will tell her that these decisions are not wise and she will cease instead relying on her strength which Mav has her countered on as well. Mav will get up close find the weak spot he's been aiming and and pretty much tear off her armor. Once he's done that it's like eating an oyster in a shell, she's screwed.Phaedrus45 said:

So explain to me exactly how she gets into space when, as far as the bio goes, she cannot fly or project herself upward meaning this debate is void. Sure Maverick's flesh and bone but when you consider the armor he's wearing and his superstrength he isn't a pushover. This isn't even faactoring in the fact taht any energy damage or defense she would put out, i.e. eye beams, forcefield, would only make Maverick srtong. Once he gets to a certain level ripping through her or blasting her with enough enough force would be cake.Midnight Ice said:Match 17:
Jocasta (MIDNIGHT ICE) bio
vs.
Maverick (HELLSTORMER) bio
Sorry to dissapoint Hellstormer.![]()
I believe while this may be a pretty good matchup, it would past as long as Jocasta wanted it to. Not only is she resistant to most physical harm, she also has a force field and has no need to breath, so she can exist in the vacuum of space or under water. I doubt if those would be handy unles she decided to take Maverick into space to kill him. Jocasta is a nearly indestructable android while Maverick is flesh and bone.

Now I'll say this going in... I know very little about Typhoid Mary and have never read a comic with her in it. So I'm going completely off of bios here. So having said that, this could be a good match. Typhoid Mary has a lot to throw at Lifeguard, but Lifeguard has the abilities to challenge that. I'll lay out the powers.
Typhoid Mary - A multiple Personality problem makes her ruthless. Part of her is kind (Mary), but her "Typhoid" persona is lustful, bloodthirst, and viscious. She also has a "Bloody Mary" persona whish is the most savage and man hating. Her powers include telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and a mental ability to make people fall in love with her.

Lifeguard - The least experienced of the two, but her powers can counter for that. Her powers are that when someone around her, or herself, is placed into danger, her body adapts to prevent or save someone from that danger. She's become a mermade to save a woman from a shark. She's grown an extra set of arms to carry four people out of danger. She commonly grows wings to fly with (even when not in danger). She becomes gold toned with a colossus like skin (though I don't know if it's actually as strong), and again, she'll have this even when not in danger. She's grown gills under water, etc. She doesn't even have to register it, it just happens naturally. So she's awsome defensively. That said, she also has some offensive manuevers. Mainly the fact that she's part royal Shi'ar. She can turn into a Shi'ar form (her current form) and is kinda like a bird character. She has razer sharp talons, fangs, and a savage bloodlust. She can fight a physical fight just fine.
The location isn't familiar with either character. Typhoid Mary is fairly well known, but I don't know how well known in Australia where Lifeguard is from. I'm sure she can get on a computer and find out something about her though, so it shouldn't be too hard. She also has some X-Corps resources at finding out about people, so it shouldn't be too hard to find info on Mary. Lifeguard could also be fairly easy to find for Typhoid, as she was one of the key characters in saving the world against the alien invasion in the Invasion arc, and the media was all over that. Now the extent of Lifeguard's powers wouldn't be known by the media, so again, limited info.

The battle will be interesting. The slightest possibility of danger is enough to activate Lifeguard's powers, and being placed in this battle will do the trick. She'd get her golden armor and her wings, and so she'd then lift into the air and search for her foe. I see Mary seeing her due to this and lighting her on fire. The armor has shown in the past to counter heat, so though it will surprise her, Lifeguard will be fine and will get to the ground. I see Mary coming for her then and attacking. I'm not too familiar with her mode of attack, so I'll just compare what I can and see where it goes.
First off, as I said, her pyrokinesis will be useless, as Lifeguard can 100% counter it, no problem. Her telekinesis would be more difficult for Lifeguard to handle. I can see Mary throwing her around, but I'm thinking that she won't do it 100% of the time. And Lifeguard's armor can handle a thrown around beating, or at least it can intensify to adapt to it. She may even be able to somehow weigh herself to keep herself grounded. If Mary takes her eyes off of Lifeguard, she can counter by flying in for physical assaults, etc. However, as soon as any real danger comes into play, I can see Lifeguard's Shi'ar form kicking in and her assault taking place. She will already be mostly there, as she usually is... but it will kick in more. It will then be a bloodthirsty chick fight. Typhoid is more experienced, but Lifeguard has the savagry of the Shi'ar blood in her. It would be interesting, but Lifeguard's body can counter any martial arts or pyro attack Typhoid may throw at her, while Typhoid is still vulnerable to the armored (think colossus) hits that Lifeguard throws. Lifeguard's also been shown to intensify her speed to almost rocket speed to reach a destination on time. If Typhoid's attacks are too quick, or she too agile, Lifeguard's body will allow her the speed and agility to counter that and save her own life.
Basically, what I'm saying is... Anything Typhoid can throw at her, Lifeguard can counter. That's the entirety of her power and character! She's kinda like Darwin, but female, and with more training (trained under Bishop, Rogue, and Storm) and a bloodthirsty nature. We have bloodthristy manhater vs bloodthirsty Shi'ar (Deathbird type shi'ar nature). In the end, Typhoid's assaults won't mean squat and all that's left is her ability to be pulmeted by Lifeguard.
Winner - Lifeguard
Ahura Mazda said:This looks like a difficult match but unfortunately for my opponent it is not. First thing during preperations, Count Nefaria will research BRB while absorbing Ion energy. When the battle starts Count Nefaria will be at a maxed out power level .
Now one batttle which did occur is relevant to this one. This was the Count's battle with Thor even though it was really all the Avengers.
Avengers #166-Thor throws his hammer at Nefaria.Thor flies down and punches Nefaria. Nefaria gains confidence because he has taken Thor's best. He tries an eyeblast, but Thor deflects it with his hammer. Thor tries to suck Nefaria into a warp, but Nefaria covers it by throwing a building on it.
What you fail to mention is that over the course of those two days he will become significantly weaker with each passing hour. This fight could go for days as your example clearly demonstrated that he coudln't beat thor, just fight him to a standstill. Bill has beaten thor TWICE. All nefaria did in this fight was prove he could hold his own against thor but not actually beat him, he then killed the only man who could have saved him from this curse and ran away. Not exactly the kind of thing that wins epic battles such as this, nefaria is going down, or at the very least will run away to preserve his own life through absorption of ionic beings.Thor is impressed. He summons the lightning to strike with him. Thor goes to strike Nefaria with his hammer. Nefaria stops Thor's hammer with his hand. Nefaria knocks Thor over. As Nefaria goes for Thor's hammer Vision confronts Nefaria. Vision tries to phase through Nefaria, but cannot because of the excessive energy within him. Nefaria strikes the intangible Vision. As Thor knocks away a bus Nefaria had thrown Professor Sturdy finds Nefaria. Sturdy reveals that Nefaria is aging at an extremely accelerated rate. He could have controlled it, but as he tells Nefaria he dies from the wounds Nefaria inflicted. Nefaria will be dead in two days. Thor offers help, but Nefaria strikes him and flees.
Meaning he can defend himself well as he slowly rots from the inside out. Bill and nefaria will be evenly matched to begin with but as the fight goes on that gap will widen significantly.![]()
Nefaria blocking Thor's hammer with one hand.
Which would explain why he beat Thor TWICE, Bill is stronger than Thor and has actually managed to beat him, Bill will take this fight to the desert to further enhance his alien biology giving him even more power (heat supercharges bill). Bill has beaten thor, nefaria hasn't. Game over.Beta Ray Bill is no more powerful then Thor if not weaker.
Count Nefaria is a bit like Superman and can overpower the Superhero or Superhorse. Nefaria currently has class 100 strength, super speed, flight, and laser vision. Beta ray Bill and the Count will do terrible battle against each one in which the area would be devestated,
Count Nefaria who is by far the more powerful should be able to defeat Beta Ray Bill and seperate him form Stormbreaker which may cause him to revert back.
Bill is a warrior worthy of mjolnir (a very elite club). He fights cosmic characters on a daily basis, has taken part in intergalactic wars. Nefaria is simply out of his league here. Bill will take him to pieces no matter how long it takes. At the end of the day, bill has fought thor twice and won both times, nefaria fought thor to a standstill then ran away to die. Nefaria will die today.Lets not forget that Nefaria is not only very powerful he is a master strategist with absolutely nor morals. He will do whatever he has to do to win.

This week I am going to be appealing to the voters dirty side. I'm going for the ****e angle again but this time on a whole different level! GIRL ON GIRL ****ING! Tyhoid has various powers such as pinpoint accurate telekenesis, pyrokynesis (spelling?)...but the power she will be using is ability so psionically seduce any living human. Once she has her in her thrawl a quick roofy later and lifeguard will be out forthe count (she can manifest outward protection but her insides are fairgame. So yes, my strategy is to get my opponent quivering with desire before slipping her into a drug induced coma...
WINNER: TYPHOID MARY!
