Just read the description for the next episode and I highlighted the following:

HEROES
HYSTERICAL BLINDNESS
10-12-2009 8:00PM
SELF-DISCOVERY ROCKS THEIR WORLD AS OUR HEROES ENCOUNTER NEW ABILITIES, TRY TO RECALL PAST LIVES AND STUMBLE UPON AN UNEXPECTED KISS -- MADELINE ZIMA, DAWN OLIVIERI, DEANNE BRAY, TESSA THOMPSON, ERNIE HUDSON, RAY PARK AND ACADEMY AWARD-WINNER LOUISE FLETCHER GUEST STAR -- Samuel (Robert Knepper) prepares for new additions to his family, while Lydia (guest star Dawn Olivieri) warns him of the consequences. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) discovers that her roommate Gretchen (guest star Madeline Zima) may have a hidden agenda. Meanwhile, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) finds an unexpected way to connect with Emma (guest star Deanne Bray), who would prefer to stay distant. Elsewhere, a different side of Sylar (Zachary Quinto) emerges as he desperately tries to remember the person he used to be. Masi Oka and Cristine Rose also star. Rachel Melvin and Jack Wallace also guest star.

So will they keep Sylar a good guy?? Who knows.

It's possible. The season is called Redemption after all. Maybe in believing he is Nathan he finds the good in himself? They even somewhat hinted towards that in Volume 4 when Micah said that Sylar has good in him and could be like Nathan Patrelli if he wanted to.

I actually think this method of redemption would make more sense then the Volume 3 attempt. Sylar becoming a good guy just because Angela lied about being his mom was really weak. At least if Sylar had his old self erased and now held to the belief he is Nathan, a generally good person with family and loved ones, it makes sense how that his way of thinking would be warped.

Remember with Sylar. He wasn't always bad. He had a sicko father. But, it wasn't until he got hit with the "hunger" to gain other powers. Thus his penchant for cutting open heads. But, throughout the show they have tried to show him as having a good side. The future scene of him as a dad....When he let Micah live. I think the writers want him to be a good guy. They just can't figure out how to do it.

I think they want Sylar to be a hero because he's so popular. If they leave him as a villain they figure they have to kill him off eventually or risk making the heroes look incompetent (too late for that though, writers). He's probably too popular to even be temporarily disposed. Season 2 was basically a disposed Sylar but they still felt the need to show every second of his road trip with Maya and Alejandro.

Sylar is the main character , lol.

this would be like the 6th time hes turned good. god this show is ******ed

He only turned good once in Volume 3. A lot of the "good Sylars" come specifically from that Volume because they wanted to probably wanted to make Sylar seem more sympathetic after they decided he was going to become a good guy. Good Sylar in the future showed that Sylar could redeem himself over time despite the hunger and Good Sylar in the past showed that even after he cracked open the telekinetic's skull in he was still a good person until the Company pushed him over the edge. Peter even gained Sylar's abilities for absolutely no reason except so he could cut open Future Nathan's skull to show that Sylar's hunger is so bad that even good hearted Peter can't resist it so Sylar isn't a bad guy after all.

God, that was such a bad volume.

If they want to make Sylar a good guy now is certainly the time to do it. I like the idea of Sylar redeeming himself through Nathan's identity alot actually. Let Robert Knepper be the main bad guy for awhile.

Who cares if he'll turn good? Peter needs to kill him already.

I just can't see how Sylar kills Nathan , Pete finds out , and everything remains kosher. However I do want to see Knepper the main focus because his character is intriguing . Knepper could be sort of like this shows magneto as he wants the heroes to join his side I guess.

I can easily see Sylar becoming good and Parkman turning evil due to Sylar's personallity.

I'd like to see a character go off the deep end tragically and become a villian. Matt would work I guess.

Absolutely not. Sylar has been the only real villain of this show since it all began. They need to keep it at that. Stop toying with the good guy crap. He did terrible, sick things in Season 1, then all of a sudden he's this goodie 2 shoes. Give me a break! The show is not about Sylar but if they make him a good guy, then R.I.P. to this show because it will lose all credibility (if any).

Not really true on the credibility front.

Magneto's gone through thousands of turns, and people deal with it. As for Sylar, he's never been the main villain. His role in the show is, as with the other main characters, to show the corruptive force of the abilities and see whether a person can overcome that.

I'd like to see this. I always thought it would have been cool if they could have kept Sylar good like he was before, and have old Peter team up with him... old Peter when he had all of his powers.

I wonder if they kill off Parkman/Sylar. Then have the "good" Sylar be the one who confronts Samuel and the others.

Well i for one think Sylar is evil and will remain that way Sylar is with Matt. Sylar's body is with Samuel and he clearly is an amnesiac Nathan. That's how i see it. Nathan is still there Quinto is acting just like Pasdar would as Nathan in that situation. Its actually really neat to watch. SO yes Syalr will be bad, its just in his nature.
