Crank 2: High Voltage

The guy has acting chops with Trainspotting and Snatch under his belt. It'd be cool to see him take a break and tackle something where he doesn't have to kick the s**t out of everything.

He was never in Trainspotting

But yes, he is definitely too good for direct to dvd movies.

Yeah, the movie says "he looked like the guy from Trainspotting", but some people would've gotten the joke of it and "The Transporter". :p

I'm re-watching the first Crank right now and I really like how both movies feel like one, big movie with all of the returning characters motifs and story.

Yea it is rare that sequels get that just right.

Crank in 3-D?!?! Are you insane?!?! Peoples heads would start exploding from the sheer awesomness.

The sequel to this should be in 3-D and show Crispy Chev vs. his just as hard to kill, even more Crank-ed out pure evil father. Played by Malcom McDowell.

I was watching Collateral the other night, and was surprised to see Statham in a bit part. He's literally in the movie for less than 10 seconds, maybe 5.

Of course, he's working for the mob.

I have to admit that Crank 2 was fun. The head in the tank kinda freaked me out though. Not to say that it's a bad thing, but it's kinda..surreal.

I loved the Ricky head, I knew it was going to be something in that tent, but the Creepshow-esqe voice really got me laughing.

That part was a little too out there, IMO. But it didn't wreck the movie.

He actually auditioned for a role in the film but Michael Mann loved him so much that he put him in a cameo.

as much as I liked it (very comic booky) i didn't like the fact that the buildup in Crank 2 was cut short of another subplot involving Ricky's brother.

yeah, the Ferret subplot gets into the main storyline too abrubtly, as neglected the Dong/David Carridean portion. It was just too unfocused.

Well, given the past two films, (and as a fan) I would like to say they don't have much concern with filling out these characters. They are usually bullet fodder within 5 minutes of being introduced.

Nice! I hated "Cranked out mode''. Give me a commentary, a making of, ect..but not all at once.

Might wait a little bit and get 1 and 2 on blu-ray when they are a pack.

Watching them both back-to-back should be alot of fun!
