The Dark Knight Create Your Own Tee Shirt

As mentioned a few times eariler, you are very serious considering your SN!

I understand you've probably been along for the ride, as a lot of us have, but there's a lot of negativity coming out bud!

And because of that, I'm going to send you a t-shirt with my big mug on it and you shall wear it with pride!

What about my post what serious or negative?? I stated my opinion. I don't want yer big greasy mug all over my chest. That'd just be..... odd.

-WsS?

ok so i got bored and made my own. - note i'll probably print a few up for my self.

I like this one alot!

Ok guys, as a designer I'm going to throw something out there that probably wont be received to well, but c'est la vie...

Ideas to add the wiki, SHH logo, catch phrases, etc. etc. are all good and great, but combining all that on one shirt is...crap. Utter crap...No one, well me at least, would wear that. Imagine that shirt hanging in a store. Now imagine walking up and buying it. How likely is that?

I'm not trying to be harsh, just point out from a design perspective that well done tees are iconic, not billboards. They have a strong visual statement that engages the viewer...Even good concert shirts are this way. The front will be some awesome image that represents the tour or the artist, while the back is left to boring city locations and dates.

Once again, I'm not trying to pee in anyone's cereal, but I think the best designs would be based off a strong visual element pulled from the entire viral experience...Not a screen capture of one of the games or the logo from a site...

Just my two cents, sorry if I offended anyone...

And WsS, lighten up dude, why so serious?

*KIDDING*

Robbie, I think you probably know best. I just thought I would throw it out there. Maybe the wiki or Whysoserious.com deserve their own stuff. Also the whole I'm not trying to pee in anyones cereal is my new favorite line ever.

Hey man, I wasn't trying to imply I know best or anything, I was just approaching it from a sales standpoint. We can always make a shirt with all the various pieces on it, but I think it would be cool if we found a way to incorporate it all into one image.

If not, there's always the back of the shirt. Like I said, that's where concert's throw the text the don't want anyone to see...

You mean like, single out specific fans and put their faces on shirts for everyone? I dunno what other people would think of this. But I personally wouldn't wear a shirt with a picture of a total stranger on it.

-WsS?

No... I wouldn't want a total stranger either. I was thinking someone could sketch up just a nondescript fan holding a piece of swag from each section of the virals...

Better? Worse? Suggestions?

I say you know best after looking at the link you posted earlier. You have more artwork on shirts than I do. So I guess that is enough experience.

Realistically, we're all just throwing out ideas so hopefully no one gets offended if someone doesn't like an idea...it is just an idea anyway.

The hippo thing is a good example..it did get ridiculous, but it was funny! Not directly related to the virals, but definitely related to those of us on the boards...

So, basically we should just keep kicking around idea, start up a new thread with a pole and vote on the few we like...couldn't get any easier, right?

I'm all for the voting and what not, I think it's a great way to decide...And I'm not opposed to the ideas, I just wanted to put that thought out there...Sorry again if I offended anyone or came off wrong.

Just being against a lot of ideas, I do understand keeping it realistic though...and fair enuff :)

Already made your t-shirt....wear my face!!

That's SO wrong.............hahahahhaha

Agree, agree aaand agree

First, I didn't know there already exist a Hippo Shirt, SO WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME?!
Second, no, we definitely can't use Hippos for a forum wide shirt, because I think, that as much as I loved the event personally, it would alienate a lot of people that weren't paying attention to that. Third, it would be cool to put a spin on one of the Joker's quotes. I'm more on the idea of words on a shirt rather than an image. I'm going to look around and see what I come up with.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I think the people holding up pieces of swag harkens back to one of the more iconic movie posters I've seen in a long time...

I quite like your avatar actually....just part of it....somehow!

But anyway as well, we'll give it a few days and then see what people come up with :)

Erm, well, I guess now "RIP Glenn Barhyte" can be thrown into the mix of ideas...

Ok, how terrible would it be, if you were that actor, or a relative or friend of that actor, and you saw someone walking the streets of a major city wearing an "RIP 7-10-08" t-shirt with his picture on it?

Robbie you're right, but I don't think any of us are planning on opening up a store and selling these lol I just wanna make something cool with you guys to remember the forums, events, and virals.

How many people get to say that they voted for Harvey Dent? As far as I know, this viral has been the only chance to do so. I think it would be cool to have a shirt that has "I Voted for Harvey Dent" on the front, with his picture (perhaps with the coin) and then on the back - have the bat symbol, and below the bat symbol "Campaign 2007-2008" or the like.

You could also make these for each of the three "groups". I mean, have one for "I Was a Joker's Goon" with a picture of Joker (or a goon mask perhaps) with the same back stuff as stated before.

Lastly, a shirt for "I Believed in Batman" for C.F.B.?

Just throwing that out there. I think I'd REALLY enjoy the Harvey Dent shirt, even though I was more interested in the Joker stuff this entire campaign, it seems to me that the "I Voted for Harvey Dent" would be an amazing link to the campaign, as well as amusing for anyone who knows HD's story, but didn't necessarily know about any virals.

Well I didn't mean open a store, just meant that the iconic imagery (what sells best typically) is probably a better design route...

And I know about copyrights. I wouldn't want to push you guys into making anything that would be illegal to do, but perhaps if we got permission this would be different.

There are a lot of great t-shirt ideas going around! Whatever is decided on by the majority I'll definitely buy one.

Im thinking keep it simple, maybe modify something pre-existing so the connection with the virals is instantly made, but a subtle change within the image indicates that its a SHH exclusive...

Just a rough idea i came up with-

I have a both bumper stickers and one round CFB sticker left, I don't have the means to get a T-shirt made quick enough, but at least I can wear stickers. Corny I know.

I REALLY like that design, provided its the size of tee shirt I like. I dont like wearing tee shirts that go more than an inch or two below the top of my pants. I hate long tee shirts like that and more often than not a shirt I find will be too long and I cant stand it.

Also, I submit for consideration this phrase:

"His name was Glenn Barhyte."
