Several movies currently in production are being made under conditions that seem suspiciously opposite that of the conditions under which X3 was made. Their production staff have even said so in public. Deadlines have been made reasonable, release dates even pushed back so as to allow them to be made properly. Two that quickly come to mind are Spiderman 3 and GhostRider. LastSunrise made mention of this before, he has more specific details on this that I think would be interesting to elaborate one. One recent event that really got my attention was Microsoft having a falling-out with the movie company that was originally chosen to make the HALO movie, afterwards Microsoft declared that they recognize the fan following that HALO has brought and if they are going to make a movie, they want to do it RIGHT, working with a studio that appreciates what they are doing as well as the material instead of rushing things and making a movie for the hell of it (I'm paraphrasing here, I'll see if I can dig up the actual press release, it's been a few weeks). Whether this is a coincidence or a pot-shot at FOX and their handling of X3 I cannot say for certain, but it does seem that several production houses have taken note of the things that people considered wrong with the way X3 was made and are trying to maintain a favorable public and fan image so as not to repeat those same mistakes.

Take it as you will but I find that all very interesting, perhaps more than mere coincidence in the shadow of X3.

What you just saw is a sneak preview of what Vilya and I and a few other people have been up to during the last several months. Ocassionally we'd post a few more clues in the rewrites section. Remember during those heated debates when some people told us there was nothing we could do about that X3 movie? This is what we have been doing about it

It's over a long period, it takes roughly two days to draw and colour each page, overall these took like a month or so.....

only two days? that is nothing for that.... you should continue with that kind of work. Is really good. And nice looking. Maybe something new, about X4. Or no, more X3 moments, moments that the film needed, like Angel with Rogue, or Rogue in the battle too, don't know... Oh, Colossus and Juggernaut too, of course, although I preffer something involving Angel and Rogue, but other characters would be nice too, like Kitty, Kurt, etc.

Yes, that is indeed the point. It appears that FOX has not learned its lesson, and the pressure from fans will have to continue. Or rather their philosophy behind filmmaking has not changed: that if a movie makes a crapload of money, it therefore must be good and liked by fans and therefore they must make more just like it.

BTW is it just me? Every time I think of Eragon it reminds of Trogdor the Burninator aka the "dagron" from homestarrunner.com?

It depends if you're familiar with the source material. For people who are, this movie made them sick and some suggested the only redeeming quality about this movie, or the best character was a cgi dragon.

Hahaha, what I meant by balance is that there's another friend for Scott, Jean, and the other X-men to be able to talk to about boy/girl things or guy things in general. If you look at X1 it's a pretty small team and Scott's the only guy on the team. He doesn't even have anyone to arm wrestle with or to help him tinker with his cars or motorcycles or talk about women over a beer.

And speaking of X1 and friendship, hell, you hardly get the vibe that Scott and 'Ro talk outside of missions. And what the hell was up with 'Ro essentially GIGGLING at the love triangle thingy in X2?
