Not sure if I metioned this already. But I heard Kingpin has some sort of armor in this series?

I just remember reading it on a reddit leaked info post. Said that melvin potter would craft knife/bullet proof tux or suit for Fisk.

Someone pointed out how Matt Murdock from 2009's Daredevil: Noir was seemingly modeled after Charlie Cox. Pretty cool!

I'm not surprised, Joe Quesada said he wanted Charlie Cox to play Matt Murdock well before they thought they'd actually get the rights back. And I think he was still editor-in-chief in 09. It would be shocking to make that suggestion/mandate

I don't know if this has been posted but here's the first review for daredevil.

"I know it’s still early in the year, but I’m calling it now: The most beautifully choreographed fight scenes of 2015 will be on Netflix, courtesy of Marvel’s Daredevil. We’ve seen the first four episodes, and this show is like no other comic book adaption on the small screen yet. The beauty of Netflix is the freedom it allows—Daredevil gets as dark as the source material requires. It’s so dark, it’s almost a better Batman show than Gotham, and that show actually has Batman in it. If nothing else, Daredevil will rule the comic book TV landscape for years to come."

It has. But that's fine. You have merely reopened old wounds, and reminded an entire legion that there are those out there who have watched entire episodes, while we are left to chew on a dessicated trailer until there is nothing left and we turn on ourselves in our horrific descent into darkness.

So thanks for that.

Lol your welcome.

^ Captain America had like a charity-fight or something, inviting whoever dared to challenge him for a sparring match. Daredevil, who was grumpy as hell (I can't remember why), swung past this place and decided to show Cap a good fight. Cap agreed but noticed something was wrong with DD so he took it pretty easy.

That would be trickier to do in the MCU, since Cap is obviously and publicly superhuman. I suppose instead of a boxing match, you could have a sport martial arts competition, with judged points rather than KOs and TKOs.

Awesome! :awesome:

Though to be fair, it would be hard to be a better Batman show than Gotham. I think Comic Book Men might be a better Batman show than Gotham.

lol I made it halfway through the first episode before calling it quits. I thought the idea had potential but the execution... urg.

Gotham is pretty meh. Ive watched it here and there since it started but it really doesnt work for me. Im not a DC fan at all. I just dont dig their characters or style.

Exactly my thoughts. When we first got wind of the Gotham show i had hope that it'd be a dark, gritty, crime drama that would deeply immerse us into the underworld of the corrupt tainted city. i hoped it wouldn't crowd the show with needless younger versions of a lot of villains and heroes, but i guess they couldn't resist.

At least by the looks of daredevil it seems to be everything i hoped and dreamed it would be.

An adolescent Bruce Wayne = Batman? Hmm.

It often isn't the same artist on the cover as inside. Sometimes it's that the issue artist doesn't have time, or often it's that they get a particular star artist for the cover to ensure it sells and attracts attention in the first place.

And I definitely thought it was Kirby on the cover. That hand and the squarish fingers of Cap is completely his style. So is the leg that is nearest the viewer, and also the style of muscles on both Cap and DD, plus DD's left foot are so Kirbyish. And the feathered shading and lines is typical Joe Sinott inking.

I see. I never thought about it so did not realize it was that common.

I made it through the balloon guy and quit (or maybe one or two episodes more, I frankly can't remember). I was intrigued by Penguin, but couldn't care enough about the show to find out.

For me the show got better after every episode and I really enjoy it now. Nygma is by far my fave character :woot:

Ugh. Penguin is a pain to watch. I hope there aren't annoying characters like him in DD.

I dont want Daredevil compared to Gotham or any DC show. I want it to be its own awesome thing that breaks the mold.

I honestly believe, based on the trailers and all we've heard, that DD will be one of the best comic book shows so far.

It probably will be the best modern comic book show. It has nothing that hinders all the other ones.

^I expect this will be true(right now I'd say AC is the best I've seen) until AKA, Jessica Jones comes out which could give DD a run for it's money if it's anywhere near as good as the MAX comic series was.
