Thread for every episode, then a thread for people who have finished it?
Wonder if the red ninja is the inspiration for the Daredevil red costume.

Since Matt can't tell it's red, I doubt it.
Yeah, while I think part of the appeal for this is being able to tell that origin story and NOT be limited to two hours to do it, I also don't think it will take all 13. I think for the climactic final episodes, he'll be the fully-fledged hero we know. So I'm expecting to see the suit for the first time around episode 11-ish.
Sounds right to me.

And a lifetime ban for anyone who drops spoilers in "no spoilers" threads before the NA AoU premiere. Well that or a stern talking to. Hopefully folks will be conscientious.
The difference is that all of these episodes are being released at once. So you don't HAVE to wait for like 5 months just to get to the point, unless you really want to. Also, the problem with early AOS (which they have pretty much solved by this point) was that the "one and done" episodes weren't really all that compelling.
Haha, I love that you managed to turn this into a math problem. Well done. And I hope you're right.Well the thing is one could argue that Quake's story has been a slow burn on Agents of Shield taking 2 Seasons to bring about her origin and while it took a while to get there the pay off was huge and I wouldn't disagree. However, taking 2 Season's for Quake's origin (when Skye is one of Several major characters all being developed simultaneously on Agents of SHIELD) does not seem to be as slow of a burn as if Daredevil's and Kingpins origins take 13 episodes to bring them about. I mean we have Coulson, Melinda May, Skye, Gemma, Fitz, Bobby, Hunter, Mack, and Ward each taking up a somewhat shared major character development time within the show. So with that said it took about 30 episodes for Skye to become Quake. So if you take the close to 30 episodes and divide it by the 9 shared major characters you would have each major character recieving about 3 - 3.5 episodes of development. Where as if Daredevil and Kingpin shared the spotlight as major characters for 13 episodes that would average 6.5 episodes of origin per character. Not to mention most people while feeling the pay off was huge with Agents of Shield they did loose a lot of viewers due to it being such a slow burn and this Daredevil show would be 2 times as slow of a burn if it runs to the end as the costume reveal completing his origin. So, as I stated earlier hoping the Vigilante costume and other variations of the costume prior to the Red Costume are limited to 6 to 9 episodes and the rest have Daredevil in his full glory. But I guess we will just need to wait and see.

Brightened to see the ninja better:

Cool trailer. Kingpin looks like he jumped straight out of a comic panel. Dead on likeness, if he has his trademark white jacket and cane at some point he'll be even more so. Very much looking forward to this!

That trailer was a bit more exciting than the last.
I'm only a bit concerned as to what the "MA" rating is for. Between AOS showing a woman getting carved up like a Christmas turkey and Gotham showing a woman digging her eye out with a spoon and stepping on it on broadcast TV with a "14" rating, I'm worried my stomach can't handle whatever passes for "MA" level violence.![]()
Fisk is going to crush a man's head with his bare hands Game of Thrones-style![]()
It will be interesting to see this in comparison to the first season of Arrow cause it's hitting many of the same notes in the trailer.
"You have failed this city!" is iconic now.
One thing I love about the MCU, and most superhero live-action adaptations in general is that the costumes have a practical purpose outside of their theme. Captain America's is militaristic, Iron Man's is the source of his abilities, Hawkeye and Black Widow's are spy jumpsuits, Thor's is both royal garb and battle armor, and etc. I wonder if Daredevil's red costume will have a practical purpose. Maybe it'll be inspired by ninjas similar to the black costume he wears.
