By the way, I hope they don't litter the fight scenes with a bunch of quick cuts all over. I wanna see the fights in all their glory.
Hire Gareth Evan to direct....problem solved.
Yeah well I think it's a bit late to change directors![]()
Was that TV spot the first shot of Scott Glenn we've got? Forgot he was in this.

What attracted you to the Netflix series, Daredevil? Were you familiar with that world, at all?
GLENN: Not at all. Im not a comic book guy. Ive never been to Comic-Con. I dont know anything about that. Its a whole different world. On the set, there were people in their 70s and people in their late teens, and all of them knew this world and were obsessed with it. It was up to Marvel to decide which superhero they wanted to start with. I know they wanted one of the first three or four to be a woman, but they knew they wanted to start with Daredevil because they thought it had been given such a disservice when it was made into a feature. I never saw that film, so I dont know whether it was good or bad, but I know that that was their feeling. For me, it was just getting to do something I had never done before in my life, which was play blind. Ive never played a blind person.
What can you say about who Stick is?
GLENN: I play a blind assassin, who is the mentor of [Matt Murdock]. So, all it took for me was to read the script of this one episode that Im in Episode 7 and I just totally loved the character. I thought it was going to be hard and physically demanding and just fun to do, and it was. And then, I got to go to New York and spend some time there. Im a little scared of it because I havent seen it yet. The trailer is great, but Im still going to be super nervous on April 10th. Im probably going to watch Episode 1, and then skip right to Episode 7 because I dont know whether I pulled it off or not. Everyone tells me I did, but I saw none of that footage. It was the first time Id ever played a blind person, let alone a blind person who was super physically capable, so well see.
The first big disappoinment from the DD movie for me was early on, after the awesome gearing up montage. Affleck immediatly drops 30 stories onto a scaffold then vaults another 10 stories plus 50 feet out to the neighboring building and starts an impossible series of Spider-Man level flips across the rooftops.
I love the DD movie for a lot of reasons but I hated that. Give me some reasonably believable parkour and the occasional billy club swing and I'm happy. I hate the idea of him swinging across town like Spidey; use the club line as a piece of gear that helps him with the real jumps he can't make unassisted.
And add some flair to the freerunning but keep it believable in a super-powered world in context. Stretch what we can do, in the way that guys like DD or Batman stretch human ability, but don't overdo it. If that makes sense.
Matt doesn't even go blind until episode 4, so it make sense.![]()
Swinging through the streets like Spiderman no way, but I wouldn't mind a combination of Parkour rooftop style acrobatics put with some kind of swinging perhaps similar to what Hawkeye did in Avengers, where while impressive did not seem to require superhuman abilities.

My birthday is in the beginning of April and my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her it was to watch the 13 episodes of Daredevil on April 12th (our day off together) before watching Game of Thrones. She said she would, so I am very excited that she is going to share the experience with me and I will not need to wait until the following Thursday when I have my other day off by myself. So excited for this!
