I'm sure some reviewers will judge it based on all episodes. Some won't and will review it on the episodes they've already been given.

Look at when some of those reviews were done way back in August 2013.

The fact is reviewers do not watch whole seasons to judge, and generally that isn't -needed. It's rare for a show to vastly improve mid-season like AoS did

How about F**** the critics, lets judge it on our own?

"Marvel’s new series Daredevil is not only the best superhero TV series they’ve produced, it is to-date the best series produced..."

Daredevil is compelling, wonderful TV that will hopefully find an audience beyond fans of the Marvel superhero films. This is a dark, nuanced TV series that is worthy of a wide audience. Daredevil is utterly fantastic and demands that you use all of your senses while watching.

Hmm that doesnt sound like "very bad buzz" to me.

"This is a brutal, cold, and violent superhero series. And it’s absolutely captivating to watch."
It's gonna be awesome. :mnm:

Good review! And what's most promising about it is that it doesn't come from a Marvel homer. It's someone who was unimpressed by Marvel's other TV efforts, and is apparently dubious about superhero TV in general. He's someone who needed to be won over, rather than someone willing to give the show an easy ride.

I'm sure that not everyone will enjoy the gritty feel of the show, but come what may, April 10th there is no work, it's Daredevil's Day.

I booked the Friday off. AoU gets the same treatment.

In other words, me. I wasn't at all thrilled when it was announced that Daredevil would be getting a TV series instead of a film because I've yet to see a superhero show that's impressed me. Yes, there are great television series out there, many that put modern films to shame: The Sopranos, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Spartacus, and the list goes on. But there's yet to be a superhero series that comes even close to the quality of any of those series, in my opinion. So my skepticism stems from a position of love for the character rather that outright pessimism.

As the series has gotten closer to its premiere, though, I've gradually become more and more optimistic. I think the big turning point for me was when D'Onofrio was cast as Kingpin. That was very inspired casting from my perspective, and it said to me that the creators really were being very thoughtful in their approach to the series. And after the second trailer debuted, virtually all of my worries were put to bed.

So I'm quite confident now that Daredevil is indeed going to the superhero show which breaks through that glass ceiling and sets a new standard for the genre. But it was a long road to get here, and even so, I'm still trying to keep my enthusiasm in check.

I hold Marvel to pretty high standards now. I expect them to get things really right. Thats why I was shocked to hear that "bad buzz" comment.

I can't say it didnt bother me. Faraci can be a dick but he's got pretty good sources when it comes to Marvel stuff. I hope he's dead wrong on this one as the few reviews we've heard of so far claim its great

For the bigtime fan..there is an art of daredevil book released by marvel. .it is similar to those released for its feature film.

Imt definitely getting one :)

I know it’s still early in the year, but I’m calling it now: The most beautifully choreographed fight scenes of 2015 will be on Netflix, courtesy of Marvel’s Daredevil. We’ve seen the first four episodes, and this show is like no other comic book adaption on the small screen yet. The beauty of Netflix is the freedom it allows—Daredevil gets as dark as the source material requires. It’s so dark, it’s almost a better Batman show than Gotham, and that show actually has Batman in it. If nothing else, Daredevil will rule the comic book TV landscape for years to come.

T'Challa, just because he knows some people in the biz doesnt change the fact hes a fn idiot.

This seems to me like one of Faraci's dumb, pompous crusades. Peppered in with a healthy dose of confirmation bias.

"I do not like the Frank Miller Daredevil run as I do not believe it is definitive of the character."

"I do not like the costume as I think it is dull."

"Hmm, I think I'll spend approximately 6 months tweeting only negative things about the show... I will refuse to acknowledge the groundswell of enthusiasm this show has garnered from every quarter."

"Ok, I've convinced myself that I will not like the show."

"I've now convinced myself that everyone ought to feel the same."

Head's up. The first review posted on the last page was from a guy who saw more than the first episode. So he wasn't just reviewing the pilot.

I'll wait to see it myself before I start making calls on how much I like it. But as of now I'm beyond confident it will be a hit.

"Apply enough pressure, someone will break sooner or later."

Posted on the Facebook and Twitter pages. What could it mean?

Sounds like a way of describing the Punisher

Most likely. Positive review makes me more confident in this show.

Faraci always seems so pessimistic toward any CBM properties that try to go the "darker" or "more grounded" route, starting with the Nolan Bat-series.
