Daredevil Daredevil General Discussion Thread - Part 8

hopefully they move beyond the hand for the villains. Take on some other bad guys this time. Kingpin can come back but not as the main adversary.

I agree. It def seems like we might have Bullseye making an appearance. I hope for a bigger role for Kingpin in season 3 than his reduced role last year.

I've been saying for a while: use Bullseye as the s3 villain. . . but not as a mercenary. Use Bullseye as a *serial killer*. He's the way for Marvel to do their own take on the classic "magic serial killer" storylines.

Wouldn't that be too similar to the Punisher storyline from the first half of S2? Murderous psychopath on the loose?

I think Bullseye killing innocent people and Punisher killing mob goons is drastic enough to spark a different feeling story.

Indeed. The Punisher plotline really wasn't following Serial Killer plot tropes.

Bullseye being a merc makes it easier to weave him into a larger organized crime story, but really in the comics he is both, he often kills innocent people without anyone paying him.

Ossum series... best theme song i ever heard... :djs: waiting for next season...

I don't think so. Isn't Luke Cage the next one to film?

they confirmed season 3 and also a second for IF. Just interesting as DD seemed to be the face of Marvel's Netflix base. I guess it at least shows they have confidence in the other series, to try and expand their reach to audiences. Hopefully we see DD before 2018 ends.

I thought Jessica Jones was going to film right after Defenders wrapped?

Regardless, after Punisher, it's pretty much impossible they will be able to stick with two a year. 2018 will have to look like this:

Daredevil S3
Jessica Jones S2
Luke Cage S2

I agree.

And yeah JJ is filming. April to October. Luke Cage started filming season 2 in early June but apparently will wrap in March. Which is quite strange as it usual takes 6 months to film the seasons.
JJ S2 will be out in early 2018. I'd say LC season 2 during summer with 3rd season of DD or second season of IF. Depending on which starts pre-production first.

They probably had to take a break for Luke Cage so Colter could do the promotional tour for Defenders.

Also could just be scheduling issues for filming in New York or whatever.

That means we likely won't see either until late 2018/early 2019 at the earliest.

Well technically it's three this year if you count Defenders. But yeah they are going to have to increase the amount very soon if they want to continue giving shows new seasons plus adding new shows to the lineup as well.

The one thing I want for season 3 is Bullseye!

Me too, just about every Daredevil fan does. What should be the storyline reason to introduce him? Kingpin is released from prison and hires him? Throw in a little Born Again influence in there with Fisk wanting to make Murdocks life hell.

My money is definitely on the Born Again arc

Born Again, but replace Nuke with Bullseye maybe?

Also, probably sans Karen Page hitting rock bottom. I doubt they will ever go that far with her. I think the worst thing they will possibly do is she might've had a wild past where she got mixed up in drugs or alcohol which led to her brother dying. I doubt we ever see her getting so bad she sells out Matt's secret identity for her next drug fix.

That's what I'm thinking, everything else has failed so Kingpin hires the ultimate assassin to take out Daredevil.

Nah, its way, way too soon for Born Again. Matt has already mostly torched his life, there's nothing to burn. I say, if you want to use Bullseye, use him not as an assassin but as a serial killer. Lets you play an entire different set of tropes.
