DAREDEVIL REBOOT: How would you do it?

Who's your Kingpin, and does Daredevil have no other villains you guys would like to see on the big screen?

I'll be honest, either I post Michael Clarke Duncan again, or I get s#!t-canned for posting another bald wrestler who can't act. In other words, I got nuthin

I think the owl or Taskmaster would be good. Taskmaster could pose a pretty good threat to Daredevil

There are no other DD villains that I would prefer. It's hard to top Kingpin and Bullseye. I could maybe see Taskmaster (he seems slightly out of DD's league, but I don't see any other way of him ending up in a movie.) As for The Owl, I just haven't read any of his cool story arcs, so there's not much for me to prefer.

I must say, DD really has a weak rogue gallery besides Kingpin & Bullseye. Writers need to start create better villains for DD instead of keep the weak ones around.

Definitely Matt Damon for DD.

Besides Michael Clarke Duncan, Chi McBride is really the only choice for Kingpin.

Jason Statham for Bullseye.

PSH for Foggy.

I was thinking Roselyn Sanchez as Elektra, but shes's pretty short.

Either would work really. It doesn't matter because Daredevil wasn't an origin movie. They can completely ignore the first one or reference it slightly. It really won't matter.

Damian Lewis is pretty much perfect for the new Matt Murdock. Check him out in Dreamcatcher, Band of Brothers, or Life. The guy is just a phenomenal actor, and he really looks the part.

Elektra needs to be more.. exotic. Refined. Sexy. Strong. Garner was great, but just not right for the role. British-born, raven-haired Rhona Mitra (The Number 23, Nip/Tuck, Shooter) would do an amazing job with the role.

Bullseye needs to be silent, strong, brutal. He can kill without a thought. He can crack wise a little when he feels like it, but he's, for the most part, a silent, trained killer. I can't think of anyone but Jason Statham. He's just darn perfect for the part.

Whoever first suggested Chi McBride as Kingpin, good call. He's the only actor around who could really give the role some justice. He can be tough, cool, smart, and, overall, a badass. He can also bring a little more class and dignity to the part than Duncan could.

As for Foggy Nelson, Matt's chubby and jovial law partner, the perfect man is Andy Richter. He's funny, charismatic, and can really act when he has to. Plus, he just looks the part so well.

Karen Page needs to be the light of Matt's life whose death absolutely sends him into a terrible spiral. She needs to be sweet and beautiful to make her downfall and death all the more terrible. Parker Posey is a great actress who has a natural sweetness to her. She'd do the role justice.

As for the story, I don't really know. We can't bring in Elektra and Karen and kill em both off. It'd be.. repetitive. Too dark. That would have to be split over more than one movie. I'm honestly not sure how I'd tell that story..

Rhona Mitra is an interesting choice for Elektra. She most definitely has the look. Statham is also not a bad choice for Bullseye. I'm not feeling the other choices, though. I like Parker Posey, but she's not right for the role of Karen.

He was, but can't have him back unless it's a sequel to Mark's DD. Plus Duncan has gotten too skinny now.

i made a thread for this aswell since i thought Elektra deserved her own, at least i'd like to see a GOOD solo Elektra movie at some point anyway

ever since i've seen this pics(which i think are the best Elektra ones), i thought it looked a lot like Evangeline Lilly, so why not her to reboot Elektra? theres more pics by this artist somewhere but i couldn't find them. I've never seen her act is the only thing, so im just going off other posters opinions, and the majority here seem to think shes a decent actress

Yes, but not taken too seriously. Like eliminating villains with superpowers. you can make a serious tone movie and still keep that fantasy element in it.
