Well that was sudden, but hasn't he had heart problems before? Now there's no possibility of him reprising his role as Kingpin (not that I would've wanted that anyway).

I believe what you meant to say there was "Rest in Peace". :o

Remind me to make fun of you when you die.

Rip Michael, the movie wasn't great (theatrical cut, at least), but you were. You'll be missed. :csad:

If you're going to make a joke about the guy who just died, at least make it funny.

I don't think it was meant to be a joke. Just a generally lame comment.

Sad news, he was very young.

His performance in Green Mile is amazing - I actually watched it again not to long ago.

He was great as Kingpin, perfect casting. Even with the terrible dialogue and script he was great.

MCD was the best part of Daredevil.
He had a lot of great roles, and Green Mile will always be remembered as his magnum opus, but I've always considered his Kingpin a fantastic role.

RIP, MCD. Big loss for the 'Wood.

I wish Carnahan's Daredevil was made.
RIP Michael Clarke Duncan. One of my faves, great even when the movie he was in wasn't :(

Yes this RIP, I heard the directors cut was okay, and yeah he was awesome as Kingpin.

He actually put on a massive amount of weight to his already significant size for the role of kingpin. Couldn't have been very healthy but it showed his devotion for sure.

Michael Clarke Duncan's Kingpin was the best part of Daredevil to me.

Chris Pine is too cute and outgoing for Daredevil.

I would like to see Gerald Butler or Matthew Fox as Daredevil.

No to Matthew Fox. Dude is not a bad actor but he's all wrong for Murdock, on par with Affleck for lack of inherent intensity. DD has a violent edge to him; we need an actor who can successfully convey that whip-smart, dangerous moodiness with his screen presence alone.

Meanwhile, Butler doesn't look the part and would probably have trouble inhabiting such an all-American role. Just don't see it.

Fassbender is the most Murdock-esque choice I can think of from the current generation of actors, but he's already Magneto and is now working on Assassin's Creed, so I don't see him dedicating himself to another geek role. A shame.

You ever watch DEXTER?

Michael C. Hall IS Daredevil.

Well with Daredevil about to return to Marvel the reboot talk Is becoming pointless. There won't be anything done with Daredevil anytime soon Inless for some
reason Daredevil appears on Shield TV show.

The director's cut of Daredevil was best superhero film from fox apart from Singer/Vaughn
X-men films. The main problem was It tried to do too much In 1 film.

Yeah it's ironic that we were talking about him and now he's died...it's pretty sad, he wasn't very old at all, only 54. He must have had problems with his heart/blood pressure but maybe he never got them checked out to get medication...it's just too bad.

@Baramos: there was a directors cut, and I liked it. Not great but with better fight scenes and a subplot that filled in some holes. A good DVD to own but not worth a theatre ticket.

Hmm, glad to hear somebody decided to try and "fix" it. Not sure if it was fixable but it definitely wasn't without some small merit.

I think that they would be doing a sequel, preferably Frank miller's "Born Again"; the ending of the movie was perfect for that.
