My hope Is they don't try to do too much In one film.I liked the director's cut of daredevil but problem was they tried to do too much In one film. While the director's cut wasn't as good as X-Men,X2,and first Class It was defently better than Elektra, both Fantastic Four, and even Last Stand and Wolverine.

With being based on Born Again storyline there probally won't be a redone origin I hope they will take a chance at releasing a r rated cut In theatres.Or at very least a hard PG-13.

id agree with you if he were a current male hearthrob... which he's no longer relevant sadly. 10 years ago however... yeah, he'd bring in a female crowd.
but, do we really want a current male heartthrob... flavor of the month, pretty boy type in the role ?

Never said I did. I don't think a "heart throb" is even the right angle for Matt Murdock

Seriously, why did they make an Elektra movie instead of a Daredevil 2?

After daredevil the plan was to do elektra and then daredevil 2.After elektra bombed they lost all Intrest In daredevil sequel

PROMETHEUS was "R" and made $100 Million Domestic in just 3 weeks so don't doubt it.

When is this reboot going to get released? I want more daredevil!

As far as I know, Slade was attached but wandered off to other projects. Time is ticking against Fox, so everything right now is pure speculation.
And it doesn't seem like there is much interest for that property at FOX

All of this = nonsense.

Time ain't "ticking". What a load.

And Slade hasn't wandered off anywhere. He's twittering about the movie for Christ's sake.

There's TONS of interest from FOX regarding this film. They just finished hiring new writers a few months ago to polish the script.

Again, if you hate the notion of DD being rebooted at FOX, why frequent this thread with useless posts on how the film's never gonna happen?

Can't you vent privately?

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

Agreed but not why you say.

What a load.

every time you type non- factual predicions

Slade is living is life and concentrating on projects that are active. He's attached but not waiting and obviously will get to it when theres something to get to.

TONS!?!?! They have tons of interest in X-Men, POTA, Robopocalypse, Percy Jackson. Why GREENLIGHT!!! IMO (And I know the difference between opinion and fact which obviously lacks here) I think FOX is waiting on the success of ASM.. Why? cause they want to see if you can reboot after a poorly received sequel (Spiderman 3) only difference is Spiderman 3 made triple the gross than Daredevil. LOL!!!

Can't you??:whatever:

IMO (again) I don't think they're so "gung ho" about DD or FF. Studios are out to make money and as far as Comic Book movies go X-Men are it. Its all they really need. So why risk rebooting failed franchises? After the John Carter lesson, studios (Not Just Disney) are being very shrewd about what to spend their budgets on especially being that movies are more expensive to produce vs. 10 years ago. And they want to do BORN AGAIN??? I'd like to see a more faithful adaptation with Nuke, Cap and the Avengers (some non core Avengers members or S.H.E.I.L.D). I mean, don't do it if you can't or won't do it right. Just saying..

And, Let it be know I'm not gonna go back and forth with you on this. You just can't reason with the unreasonable:doh:

Alright, for the sake of progress for this thread, and I've brought this up before, WHERE in the next 2 years was FOX supposed to place this movie?

Summer 2012:

-PROMETHEUS
-ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER
-ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT

Summer 2013:

-EPIC
-THE WOLVERINE
-PERCY JACKSON: SEA OF MONSTERS

Summer 2014:

-ROBOPOCALYPSE
-DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES
-X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Now tell me, where in the aforementioned 3 years was FOX supposed to release the reboots?

Its what I keep telling people. The studio knew enough time needed to go by since the last outings of those characters in order for the reboots to work. What they also knew is that during that wait, they had to focus on developing other projects and resurrecting other franchises that had been dormant long enough (Apes, Alien).

There has never been any lack of interest on the studio's part towards rebooting DD & The FF. If there was, they'd be back at Marvel and both films wouldn't have writers and directors working on them. Its just common sense.

my cast wes bentley matt -phillip seymour hoffman the owl-christina ricci karen-james gandolfini kingpin-michelle rodriguez electra cameo only

Christ...can we please stop with the "FOX isnt releasing the movie" and the "It's def. coming out in 2015" stuff

There's no proof of either one it's just speculation. And it would be fine speculation if certain members weren't saying them like they are fact. The same thing happened in the Fantastic Four movie thread and it was annoying there too

I like Wes Bentley Im not sure about him for Matt, but he's a good actor. I dont even know who I want for Matt anymore. Michael C Hall would be a good choice, but I wonder how much time Dexter takes up for him in the year and does he have the time to play the lead in a blockbuster.

But besides MCH I have nobody

Hall IS DD & he only shoots Dexter 4 months outta the year.

He's pretty much available the rest of the time.

Dexter is also over next year, so if production is set for 2014, he's absolutely free.

i lke hall for the part but i think he is too old for it.i think they would want a younger guy late twenties early thirties to attract the teen set.thats why i picked wes bentley over hall.

Every time I see another poster saying Hall for DD I just kind of go 'yes!' because it's such a good fit. Whether we'll ever get to see it happen is another matter entirely.

Hall was born to play this character. I really hope FOX is aware of the guy. Same goes for Greenwood as Reed Richards.

Since DD's rogues gallery is a a rather mixed bag, what villains do you think should and should not appear on screen? I have few opinions:

Kingpin: obviously, there are so many important DD stories centered around him.

Bullseye: Another obvious choice, but I would leave him out of the first movie, develop some other villains instead first.

Elektra: Since she has already appeared in two movies (one that was God awful), I would leave here out for a bit. Develop Karen Page as a love interest.

Typhoid Mary: I would love to see a proper version of her in a movie. Perhaps they should merge elements of the first typhoid Mary story with Born Again, considering they covered similar ground.

Jester: He seems like just a poor Joker knock off, only less interesting. I don't see any reason to include him.

Mr. Fear: He seems too similar to Scarecrow. I wouldn't suggest using him either.

Owl: I think they make him a rival of Kingpin in a gang war story. Owl is not interesting enough to carry a movie, but he could play off of Kingpin, with Kingpin being a cool and in control crime boss and Owl being far more prone to bouts of psychotic rage.

Gladiator: I like him, but I'm not sure what he should do in a movie. He started out as a simple thug, but he was reconned into a psychotic in the 80s. I'm not sure what he would do and how the character would be portrayed.

Purple Man: Same deal as Gladiator, I like him, but I'm not sure what you would do with him. Would be the main villain or would be a minion of another villain? What would the plot be around him?

Lame villains: DD has a lot lame villains that could only work as comic relief, guys like Leap-Frog, Matador and Stilt-Man. I think Stilt-Man would cost too much in term of special effects to work as the comic relief villain, who will only appear for 5 minutes max. I think Matador works better as a villain who shows up at the beginning, in a silly costume and gets beat by DD.

Other villains from the 80s: Nocenti created some interesting villains in the 80s. I kinda like guys like Bushwacker and Bullet, but I'm not sure they would work as anything but minions in a film. Perhaps the Wildboys could be expanded into a street gang and given a sub plot.

I'm also not sure if villains like Mr. Hyde are under the DD franchise. I like Mr. Hyde, but again, I'm not sure what they would do with him.

No Bullseye or Kingpin for the first film. Like Batman Begins, the GA needs the franchise to begin fresh and not the way the last incarnation did.

I say, keep Kingpin to make abolutely clear that this is a reboot, Karen as love interest and Mr. Hyde as primary villain.

hall does'nt really look that old to be honest he does'nt look any older than christian bale not saying he can pass as 25 but he easily can pass as mid 30's which i just fine for a super hero

and isn't born again DD established?
