i dont really know how you can do manips for a daredevil movie. i mean besides daredevil, all the other characters are pretty much normal looking.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the ingredients of Daredevil, I think there was just too many. For crying out loud, he had three villains to fight! In his first movie!

The first movie should have been his origin story. We see him and Foggy doing their lawyer stuff. He meets and falls in love with Elektra. Kingpin rises to power. Elektra's father is killed. Daredevil fights Kingpin's goons and squares off with the big guy. Kingpin is sent to jail.

Second movie has Kingpin behind bars. Though he's trapped, he's not powerless. He hires Bullseye to take down Daredevil. Elektra, grieving her father's death, wants revenge. She's trained and turns her into the assassin we all know and love. Bullseye, in tracing Matt, discovers Elektra. They square off and Elektra is killed. Daredevil and Bullseye fight.

Movie Three . . . Kingpin is released from prison and hell breaks loose.

Take your time, Marvel, pace yourself!

Elektra is just too much of a distraction for what the heart of the movie should be. It should be about matt murdock fighting crime in and out of the courtroom. the constant struggle between kingpin and matt murdock. karen page should be the love interest because she is a subtle character that isnt too flashy and adds to the aspect of the motives of matt murdock and his ultimate goal instead of trying to distract him from it.

Agreed.

They should have saved Elektra for a sequel and made her a genuine villain who slowly gets redeemed by Matt. She should be more like she was in the Elektra Saga. Garner's version was just to soft, though they did much better in her solo movie. It's to bad, Garner has what it takes for a faithful Elektra.

Why don't they base it on Bendis' DD? Bendis' DD was awesome! The first movie could be a basic reboot of the DD mythos, the second could be about the end of Bendis' run when Murdock goes to jail, and the third could have the Punisher in it and it could be based on Brubaker's run.

Never read Bendis' run. How did they portray Matt's blindness in prison? I wouldn't think they would place a blind inmate among other prisoners in general population.

Funny thing is, I know there's an established DD storyline involving Matt in jail and all but when I think if a movie of a costumed hero in prison, all I can think of is 'Supermax'.

Murdock get thrown in prison while awaiting a trial. The FBI set it up so that Bullseye, Owl and Kingpin are there. They want them all to kill each other. Punisher gets himself arrested to become Matt's back-up in prison. Hilarity ensues, from prison riots to a breakout when everone works together only Matt betrays Bullseye and Kingpin to keep them in prison.

They didnt know, but they did believe he was. I believe Iron Fist was posing as Daredevil in order to discredit claims. I didnt pick up DD until after though after all the good buzz i heard, so i could be wrong

Ah-ha. So that's a problem, right there. You couldn't have someone else standing as DD in his movie. Not because you can't do it but because there would be too many characters..

So I'm re-reading the early Brubaker issues, and Jamie Bamber popped in my head as a potential DD. Would he be good?

Most suspected it. The key players knew enough to place their best on Matt being DD, though without concrete proof. That was with the FBI. the general public connected Matt to DD with the story line "Out". The prison warden discovered the truth when Matt saved his life from an assassination attempt.

Kingpin, Punisher and Bullseye knew his secret identity years before this.
