With Ayelet Zurer as Elektra:-

I pray Marvel will get the rights to DD soon. Daredevil has had so many AMAZING stories, and deserves to have them adapted to the big screen. His movie could be the next IM in terms of success, and put the character where he needs to be.

I'd love to see them adapt Bendis' run, and have him go to prison at the end of one of the films. Then you can start Bru's run,etc etc etc.

And also, keep MSJ away from it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt with DD because it was mainly Fox's fault that DD ended up sucking, but GR was even worse. He just can't cut it.

The more I think about it... I think that a TV series would be precisely what DD needs. There is so much story telling to do, a serial could help really develop the character.

Then, a movie can come off of the series, allowing the details of the existing film to be overwritten, as the TV series becomes the new canon for a new movie.

Actually, that could work really well. A trilogy would be nice, but it might not be as fleshed out as a TV series would be. I could see it as being a mixture of shows like Law and Order,Prison Break, and even Nip/Tuck (Murdock is the biggest man ****e in MU, he'd have a new chick every week. :p)

Now we're talkin! :hoboj:

I mentioned this for FF as well... A TV series might be the best route for "re-booting" most of the characters that the blew it on... Like Ghost Rider.

However, GR and FF might be too demanding on a TV budget???

That's what I'm thinking too. FF is like constant SFX, and GR on tv would be like Supernatural x10. But DD would be much easier to bring to the small screen without breaking the bank.

A Daredevil show would likely be more about Matt Murdock: Attorney at Law than it would DD anyway.

There's plenty of shows like that which do just fine.

I can see it now...
Tonight on FOX: "Nelson & Murdock".

i've wanted a "The Bugle" show, for quite a while now... it's a show that deals with the daily bugle workers and the perspective of the "average joe" in a world full of superheroes and villains.

^ that is a interesting idea...

And a DD show would also need to the CSI component, of DD being a one man crime lab... as well, as the legal / crime-drama component. It has the makings of a solid program.

maybe some day... im just glad that DD rip-off never went anywhere. like 2 years or so ago there was some show with a "blind lawyer" it pissed me off pretty badly.

You mean "Blind Justice," where Ron Eldard plays the blind detective who still carries a gun and fights crime with his impressive sense of smell?

The Daredevil re-boot needs to be dark. It needs to be Marvel's Nolan Batman series.

I'm really surprised the comic book movie craze we've enjoyed the last couple years hasn't bled in to television. With the ratings that garbage show Heroes gets can you imagine what something from Marvel or DC could do in this climate.

FX should get it IMO. With Damages and The Shield they've proven they can get intelligent, violent shows that have excellent quality on the air for years.

WB are to afraid to touch anything that doesn't have Batman or Superman in it on tv. And even then they aren't exactly pioneers with examples like Smallville and Birds of Prey. CW needs to stay out of adapting DC franchises, they're just not very good at it.

Marvel was doing excellently with the Blade tv show, and supposedly a Moon Knight show is in the works.

Yup; not to mention Burn Notice, Generation Kill and Dexter.

Now who is the star of Dexter again?

Hmmmmm..................

Sorry, I must be getting confused.

Those shows are aired on FX here in the U.K.

You're lucky. Dexter and Gen Kill are on premium channels over here.

Anybody else think the costume for the most part should be unchanged? I rather liked it.

Im rather torn by it. Visually, I think it is very satisfying. Realistically, leather doesnt seem functional for an acrobat.

*checks for info* wow, 39? really? looks 15 years younger in that picture.
