what?
sony has the rights to spedey and all related nams tpics ect in film, fox has dd

it was superb. it had its problems... it was no DARK KNIGHT, but it beat the hell outta a lotta other comic films

Maybe this isn't the right place to put this, but isn't it about time Daredevil got a direct to DVD animated feature? Lord knows he at least deserves a regular animated series. Currently reading "Daredevil: Yellow", I wouldn't mind seeing that animated. We all know they'd never attempt to do the yellow costume in live action, and for good reason, but surely the yellow suit could pass in animation (they've done Wolvie's yellow costume in animation after all).

Jeff Matsuda(The Batman, Hulk VS Wolverine) should do an animated Daredevil project. That would be neat.

I would totally watch it.

I've been thinking; Zack Snyder could be a very good choice for a Daredevil reboot. Think about it, with 300, he captured the feel and tone of Frank Miller, whose take on DD is arguably the most definitive take on the character yet; and with Watchmen, particularly with the street-wise, urban crimefighters Rorschach and Nite-Owl, he showed he can do well executed superhero action. Just a thought.

I really, really don't think Snyder has the dramatic chops for a Daredevil movie. Then again, I'm one of the people who doesn't think that Watchmen had a very strong story.

i can name a few kevin conroy, phil lamar, clancy brown, mark hamil, you could really just give out an actors name cuz normal actors do voice work, clancy brown was the kurgan, hamil the famous luke skywalker, lamar did madtv, and conroy was batman inthe 90's through jlu

Well, here's hoping the director's cut will change your view of it somewhat.

I say David Fincher should direct

I agree, David Fincher's Se7en had the serious Crime Drama tone and that rainy/dark Film Noir visual style which I think suits Daredevil.

Fincher is currently producing a CGI animated adaptation of the comic book The Goon, it has not been confirmed whether he will direct that but it does point towards his interest in working on a comic book movie, I think.

but fincher doesn't really want to do comic book films watchmen was the only thing that sounded interesting to him.Nolan never did crime drama before batman so you just never know just get a good solid director imo

let me try!
dd/matt murdock-
karen page-
elektra-cree summer. she plays alot of the exotic, ninja-y types, from kitana to kida
bullseye-
Clancy Brown would own as the Kingpin. And I'm sure Mark Hamill could do a great rendition of Bullseye. Nolan North, who voiced Deadpool for "Hulk Vs. Wolverine" could probably also do a good Bullseye, or possibly Michael Rosenbaum as Bullseye too. Call me crazy, but Nolan North might also do a decent job at voicing Daredevil/Matt Murdock. I don't know why, but I can't imagine Daredevil talking in a raspy, gravelly tone the way Batman does, or supposedly does.

As for Karen Page, well, I'm sure any number of voice actresses could play her easily enough - Grey Delisle, Jennifer Hale, Lisa Ann Beley, Nicole Oliver. As for Elektra... hmm, Kathleen Barr perhaps?

No, I mean the real Watchmen. You know, the one with the pages and the binding and the book-writin'.

Wow!! Well then that's really more Alan Moore's doing than it is Zack Snyder. I'm sure Snyder could think of something different for Daredevil that distinguishes from Watchmen. Dawn of The Dead, 300, and Watchmen are each different films. That being said, I don't think Snyder would do Daredevil after already having done Watchmen.

That's a shame if Fincher was only interested in doing Watchmen, I was watching Seven recently and was thinking how great it would be for him to do a Batman movie, DD would be equally good for him.
Someone should pass on 'Born Again' to him, I bet that would get him thinking about doing a DD movie.

Re:Nolan doing crimes dramas before Batman, well he did Insomnia, and even Memento is a crime drama to a certain extent.

right just watched an episode of dexter, and I really like the actor think hes fab just dont see him as matt murdock...sorry

okay i have a layout idea for a aet of two movies, ill add a third latter
daredevil:
dd has been at work for some years, not as long as in msj's dd but hes experienced. dd takes down a costume designer for helping in a money laundering business. the designer gets out early for good behavior and decides to takedown dd as a little revenge, he goes to the man who had been behind the laundering business, the kingpin of new york, and aquires a battler siut with many edged weapons built in including circular saws on the gauntlets. he goes out and starts causing trouble for the city, in an attempt to draw out daredevil. he even threatens the office of mathew murdockand fruend foggy nelson, kidnapping secrety karen page and foggy nelson and leaving a message for murdock, noticing a lot of dd's victims were on the opposite sides of cases against murdock and nelson's clients, assuming a)they are in league with the vigalante and are winning the cases in court while dd takes care of the ones that get away. murdock siuts up and finds the two tied up in the middle of the biulding. the sounds of the saws allows dd to avoid the hits from gladiator. aftera lengthy battle gladiator gets hisass kicked and is left for the police. before leaving dd interogates gladiator, finding out the alledged kingpin of crime is infact a real person, though h doesnt find out who, theonly name gladiator uses is kingpin. so dd saves his friends page and matt start a relationship and dd starts looking into who the kingpin is.

daredevil:the man without fear
a couple of years latter dd has few if any leads on the kingpins identity. in the courtroom matt and foggy are winning a greater percentage of their cases. karen and matt are having troubles in the realationship and the press is attacking daredevil for increasingly reckless behavior. after karen leaves, matt meets an old friend of his at a park, her name is elektra natchios, she was his college girlfriend from long before matt had any expeirience as daredevil.seeing as how dd was snooping around and interfering with kingpins business, the kingpin, (stil shownn ain the shadows or withut face sote if at all) hires the hitman bullseye to take care of the vigilante. bullseye starts tormenting dd, being present at as many of the kinpins high stakes crimes as possible as to afford if nothing else the redt of the crew safe crime spree. evenrtually bulseye chases a wouned daredevl to a church, were they have a short contest of abilitis, daredevil barely escping. also hired t finish off daredevil in the unlikely case that bullseye fail, elektra. on a rooftop while in search of "prey" dd isconfronted by first elektra and then bullseye, previous to bullseye's arrival the combat between dd and elektra ends with elektra pinning dd to a wall through both arms with her sai, with the devil at her mercy elektra prepare to finish him when daredevil speaks to her for the first time in thewhole fight.(earlier elektra and matt resumed their relationship) recognizing the voice as that of her nlover, elektra pullsout the sai as bulleye appears on the scene, bullseye taunts her about being unable to finish the job and the two fight, in the end bullseye runs elektra through with her own sai, killing her. the wounded dd quickly dissapears angered to the piont he is likely to kill bullseye. he returns to his apartment. bullseye comes in through a window and the two fight dd still able to fight. the fight ends with bullseye hanging by his arms very high over the street and very far from the roof, by some wire dd had found. the police arrive and take him into custody after the wire breaks and he lans on the roof on a squad car. having been givin a few more clues as to the identity of the kingpin dd continues his search for the kingpin of crime

With a DD reboot i really really hope they make it like TDK in terms of a slightly realistic style but balance the fantasy element much better. while i didnt really like Batman in that world but i think it suits DD (brubacker run) to a tee but of course fix the fights to be an amazing show of DD eclectic dancing style of combat and use freerunners stunt doubles for the hells kitchen jumping scenes cutting down some of the far to over the top rooftops moments from the original DD movie.

yes... free-runners... real stunts... a real actor... and go with a treatment more like the Crow. TDK, Spiderman, Superman, IM where all high profile and in the public eye.

I prefer the dark, edgy tone and smaller scope street crime / thug theme wrapped in the Crow.

Do a TIH type of reboot, where they retcon some details and just move forward.

Another idea that I had for rebooting DD, is to use a TV series. In the new medium, a whole new story arc can be built, that over-writes the movie... then a new film can be derived from that.

Here's what I am curious about. When does Fox lose Daredevil? they haven't used any of the characters in 5 years or so? When can Marvel get him back home safe?

I say go Incredible Hulk route. Don't discard the original all together, but dont make any direct hints to it either.
