I'd like to see a Sequel, but he'll (Johnson) probably just leave this like he is on Ghost Rider

With a DD reboot i really really hope they make it like TDK in terms of a slightly realistic style but balance the fantasy element much better. while i didnt really like Batman in that world but i think it suits DD (brubacker run) to a tee but of course fix the fights to be an amazing show of DD eclectic dancing style of combat and use freerunners stunt doubles for the hells kitchen jumping scenes cutting down some of the far to over the top rooftops moments from the original DD movie.[/quote
the first time you see dd out and about, that big arch shaped jumo, they tried it with wire riggs a lo, but couldnt get it to look right, so they went cg

It's really funny. I think Daredevil gets a really un needed bad wrap. I mean in terms of movie, flow, story, it wasn't terrible. I think Collin Farrell should be banned from movies (I hate him.) I think there were a few goofy things, but overall it wasn't a terrible movie. The only reason I think an Incredible Hulk style reboot is in order is because I think a lot of people forgot about Daredevil. It came out 3 months before X2 so in terms of comic movies that year Daredevil didn't stand a chance.

I agree, i felt that it was a good movie and a sequel would have worked. like you said, people just kinda forgot about it, but i think a sequel would have made the character seem more in-depth rather then what they did with other films like this such as Ang Lee's Hulk and Ghost Rider. but at this point there's no need to go back, might as well do a reboot instead and buff out some of the mistakes and have a chance to re-do the characters

Why do people hate Affleck so badly? That's something that has always bugged me.

Is everyone hoping Rhona Mitra is cast as Elektra in the future Daredevil films to come? Most people on the net want her what do you think

i never thought about that, and i thought affleck did a wonderful job in basically everything ive seen him in. dd asa good movie, i had earned the oppurtunity to buy it back in 03 or 04 whenver it came out, i was a little kid-11 and i chose to buy dd from the local afeway, i love the movie its grat, its one of those movies that you love becuse it didnt get a whole lot of attention and yet was a god movie, it kinda got attention but was forgot about, its just a great movie

I was roughly able to translate that, but I agree I thought Affleck did a great job.

i tens to rant and make unlogically statements, i thought affleck was a good murdock, and just as importantly dd, to bad he says he wont do another

I think Affleck is done with big acting. I blame Michael Bay, mainly cause it's always my first instinct, but Affleck gets a lot of unnecessary rant. People say Gigli was the worst movie of the year, yet My Boss's Daughter came out that year and was far worse. Surviving Christmas was bombed, but it was't that bad. Affleck was great in Dogma, Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting, and Dazed and Confused. He did great work on Gone Baby Gone, and he looked great in State of Play.

i liked paycheck, or payback or whatever, im not good with titttles that sound similar

Paycheck was Affleck. I thought it was entertaining as well. I compared it to Minority Report when I saw it though, that was my mistake.

Payback was Mel Gibson

thanks, i just saw a dvd case with payback as the title and it goes inor my personal mental list of movie titles, minority report was confusing

but seriously, back on topic,

What we need is a DD movie that will pay homage or give mainstream audiences WHAT COMIC READERS GOT with the likes of MILLER & BENDIS...

what we got with the affleck version was a watered down parody and Amalgamation of all incarnations of DD.

Yeah, but that can be said about a lot of comic to film movies can't it? I don't necessarily disagree with you but it's an uphill battle. ESPECIALLY with Fox.

I wish someone would punch them in the nuts and say "Hey it was good in the comics for a freaking reason jackass don't mess with anything and people will like it!"

Take half an hour to read through the rest of this thread - MCH is quite a few peoples choice to play Daredevil in a reboot.

i've always liked Affleck as DD, just dont think they ceased the opportunity they had at a good marvel trilogy (or at least a sequel)

one of my top picks as well

Who's Michael C Hall?
get hbo or go to walmart and watch/buy dexter, hes dexter the guy who as a blood splatter analysist kills the guys the police cant take down, is he a hero becuase oof what he does? or in site of it?

I have to say... Affleck is solid in a number of the roles he has played, but he was way too stiff and un-sympathetic in DD. I was not intrigued or piqued by his portrayal of DD or Murdoch at all. I don't know if it was him, the writing, the directing... or a bit of all of the above, but it just sank IMO.

Farrel is an awesome actor, but again... that character (Bullseye) was a huge miss for me. Grotesquely overacted, and not an accurate portrayal of the comic's Bullseye at all. Blame Farrel's take on the character, the writer, director??? I don't know, but boooooo!!!

Having Affleck do any of his own stunts and fights scenes was a huge mistake. The playground scene was a HUGE embarrassing mistake. Rushing the love interest story into the first film was a bad idea... Garner is hot and talented, but she did not seem like a fit for the role of Elektra. The FX were a bit weak, as it would have been a prime oppotunity to go with some Freerunners for some kicka$$ live action stunts.

There were so many things wrong with that film.

Oh God, the playground scene...........

>shudder<

Condender for possibly the worst moment in a comicbook movie ever.

contending with?

it could have been worse, the could have tied for three villains
