Daredevil reboot: official discussion thread

The director's Cut is among my Favorite CBMs.But it's been 7 years.My hope is Fox loses the rights and they revert back to Marvel and Marvel Studios gets a chance to make a DD movie.Anyways the way things are looking the earliest we'd be getting a Daredevil movie is 2013/2014 and by that time it be 10 years since the last film.There was only 8 between Batman and Robin and Batman Begins.

My thoughts exactly.

While I usually have a dislike for reboots (when unnecessary), I think a Daredevil reboot can work. Like the case with the Batman films, there's still much about DD's origin that can be told. All the first film showed was how Matt got his abilities, the reboot can go the Man Without Fear route and show how he became Daredevil. They could also parallel this with how Wilson Fisk rises up the mob ranks to become the Kingpin. Elektra and Bullseye should be kept away for the time being, to distance it from the previous version.

i like Cillian Murphy, but not for Daredevil

Well people raged about Ben Affleck because he didnt look like Daredevil so I doubt that he will be him (he doesnt look much like Murdock at all IMO)

Plus Ben Affleck did a great job

I dont think you would be bashed. Daredevil EASILY has the best album of any marvel film IMO. Its awesome every song in it fits so well (Hang On by Seether, Learn the Hard Way by Nickelback, My Immortal, Bring Me To Life, etc)

I could definitely see this. I have a few other actors in mind but I wouldn't mind Murphy. Especially if he bulked up a bit more. And I think he could handle MK's other personalities such as Grant and Lockley.

Finally bought Directors Cut and boy was I impressed. However now I am sad that everyone will forget about it once the reboot comes out =(

I say sequel would be better and I dont care about the haters Ben Affleck did a great job (ESPECIALLY as Matt Murdock, the costume could of been better but that wasnt his fault)

I liked it a lot too actually. But Ive heard tons of complaints about it that ended up in flame wars so I just said it could have been better to avoid those situations xD

I dont think anyone will be able to be as good at being Bullseye as Colin Farrell.

i think The Punisher 2004 had the best soundtrack but thats just me...it had Hatebreed in it so it puts it a notch above...War Zone too but ykno i go for that kind of music...

anyway as for Daredevil i think Murdock should be played by Matthew Fox or Michael C Hall.

I think Punisher 2004 had the best score (Carlo Silliotto), while Daredevil had the best album.
