Dc Comics Solicitations For October 2007

At least we got Gary Frank.

that might actually be enough to get me to buy that run, even though superman is to me what hal jordan is to you, corp and leaguer.

the cover to that gotham underground reminds me of the new batsuit in tdk, with the gold-ish bat-symbol.

Well, it looks like I'm dropping Action Comics. I like Johns but seriously I would rather prefer to buy only one Superman book (the main one) and my pull list is big enough anyways.
Is Busiek writing the Superman title for the foreseeable future? I want to get back into Superman but I'd rather shove hot pokers up my nostrils than read Johns and/or Donner's Action Comics.

Busiek is on Superman till 2009. Donner left Action Comics because of all the hold ups but is still giving his input in to Johns on the stories. Johns is also there till 2009.

Cool, I'll probably start reading Superman when Busiek's next arc starts.

As long as I have Busiek's Superman to read, I couldn't care less what Johns is or isn't doing on Action.

Word to yo motha.

Since we're on the subject, what did you guys think of the Action Comics 3-D issue. While the issue itself sucked, I thought the 3-D effects were done well, but of course, added nothing to the story and was pretty much the epitome of a 90's comic book era gimmick.

The 3D was pretty awesome.

And considering I missed the '90s comic book era of gimmicks, it's kinda nice to own a reproduction of it.

The last 3D issue I saw was DC's Superman Red/Blue special, appropriately enough.

Why do they have to entice me to buy JSA with a Kingdom Come story. I'm supposed to be weaning myself off of comics.:cmad:

This may not be the thread to ask, but is there anyone out there who could tell me a link to or where I can find information about Batman's argument or problems with Hal Jordan?

Batman's problem with Hal Jordan: Hal Jordan murdered the entire Green Lantern Corps and tried to singlehandedly remake the universe.

Personally, I can't blame him for holding a grudge. :o

I understand what hal Jordan did - what I was asking for was an information website regarding their ongoing problem. To state it better - is there something I can read, other than the actual comic books, which would state the entire situation and what has continued after Jordan / Parallax did what he did.

Stan

I don't know of any website that chronicles their feud. But the feud is over and they're happy teammates again, as if nothing ever happened. So it doesn't really matter.

I don't understand why anyone would possibly think anyone would care about Lord Havok and the Extremists.

Is this supposed to be some sort of in-joke rag on the 90s?

What's this?

Tony Daniel on Batman?

Consider my interest peaked.

^ looks good. i'm glad they're bringing ra's back. he's one of the better batman rogues. daniels' art is great, but it looks like it's just a guest stint.

Yeah. :( It'd be nice if he stayed on for the whole arc, though.

So, after all the speculation about who the art team on Simone's Wonder Woman run was going to be, it turns out to be: exactly the same people on the book before. Not that I mind, or anything; they're awesome.
