DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 2

I really hope that her disliking humanity doesn't last for too many issues

She doesn't have to be as altruistic as her cousin but i hope she at least makes friends and that her friendship with Steph isnt ruined by these changes

Steph and Kara are so much fun when they team up

that's assuming Steph even survives the relaunch........

is she going to go back to being Spoiler??

Now, Kara will always be Supergirl to me, but by Kara I mean the Pre-Crisis Kara and the character Kara became in the last year or so of her own book, which was pretty similar. I like Kara to be more innocent and a little unsure of herself, but in a gentle way, not an emo whiny way.

I like my Kara with a little attitude and not all around sweet and innocent. Which is why it was always nice when a writer could find the right blend for her. And hopefully they will do so in this reboot. Which is probably why I liked Kara In-Ze (my personal SG that I grew up with) so much.

Simone said that if noone uses her then she will end up using her.

That one Superboy issue during OWAW with Krypto as one of the three concurrent plot lines owned.
That's the main issue I was talking about. The "boy and his dog" scenario does have some measure of charm, too. Even if it does contribute to Conner's recent shift into a clone of Clark in personality as well as DNA.

I hope someone will use Steph and Cassandra.

as for Kara, I hope her attitude towards humans is explained as having been caused by something that turned her off, as opposed to her natural personality.

Our Worlds at War.

One good thing about this is we may finally get a Maxima Resurrection.

It was a big cosmic war against Imperiex, who was this massively powerful cosmic badass. You can kind of think of him as DC's Galactus, only without the planet-eating and with miniature versions of himself (called Imperiex Probes) instead of heralds.

Yeah, he ate Galaxy's instead of planets. And instead of eating them, he just destroyed them cuz, the universe is f**ked up so, he was gonna fix it. Little did he know......:o

It was okay.

Some big names died. I think that was its major selling point, really. But, as with most gigantic events, there were some good stories mixed in with the majority of okay stories.

Notice I used the term "MAY".

I would just like to see what kinda awesomeness a Guy like Morrison could do with the character.

I did notice, but I chose to replace it with 'are'. Because mentioning got my hopes up enough to try and grab onto.

I see no reason why they wouldn't. Everybody's got a shot at coming back at this point.

I'm kind of surprised they haven't already brought her back in some form or another.

Reading the interview about Mr.T book, I just have to say that I never liked the whole "Smarest man in the world" thing DC has going on. Why put a number on how smart they are?

I'm going to miss the Justice Society, but it seems that their whole existence is being written out in favor of making Superman the 1st superhero, and the Justice League the first superhero team.

I think there is a way to make it work, though: make it kind of like an superhero espionage group, in which a Justice Society with downplayed "superhero" elements was a secret government-sanctioned group of super-powered individuals who aided the Allies during WWII. When superheroes come out into the limelight thanks to Superman and all the new, modern heroes rising up on the scene, the Justice Society either comes out of retirement, or their descendants take up the slack.

I mean, it's not necessarily a perfect idea, and it'd probably upset a lot of purists, but something would be better than nothing, and that's all we're getting now.

And I'm honestly really surprised that for all this talk of attracting new readers and, of course, younger readers, DC still has yet to capitalize on the ultimate youthful wish-fulfillment superhero: Captain Marvel.

Especially when you're #3.

No one likes a Bronze medalist.

what happened to Maxima to begin with? Last I saw her was in Superboy's 90's book. (which I friggin' loved).

You can never have too many ass kicking sexy redheads in comic books :atp: it would be pretty cool if we got to see Maxima again.

Though it means Superman would constabtly have to fear a super powered taffying from her :ninja:

D'awwwww

I hope she does. Would be neat for her to show up in the Superman comic books again

Best solution is to either make Superman as a member of the JSA in the past, or if they're making him a lot younger, to just let the JSA be on Earth-Two where they belong anyway.

As for Captain Marvel, DC is completely incapable of handling him properly unless while they're hiring all these old Image guys, they actually bring in the one with talent-Erik Larsen. He could do Captain Marvel correctly.

All that Earth-2, Earth-Prime, Earth-S, Earth-:batman:, Earth-etc. stuff is kind of what these things should be avoiding.
