His opinion is rubbish.
It's my opinion, you can disagree with it but you can't criticize it. I haven't read any of last weeks titles yet but only Animal Man really hooked me. With the rest, none of the art isn't to my liking, I also have no idea who the characters are and the #01's didn't do ANYTHING to help me with that.

Stormwatch was amazing this week I absolutely loved the design of the moon monster and I am really digging how Apollo, Midnighter and Adam One are written. Not so sure about J'onn being so okay with killing but other than that I adored this issue. Great stuff

The Huntress miniseries out this week was pretty neat to. Helena was kick ass in it and it felt more like Birds of Prey than the first issue of Birds of Prey did

I never read an issue of Stormwatch, and have no idea who the characters are, before the relaunch and I'm loving the crap out of that book. Same thing with Resurrection Man.

Maybe you just have bad taste?

:oldrazz:

Huntress's costume looks weird without the belly window.

Probably.

I had never read anythig about Swamp Thing, Resurrection Man, etc. And thought they were great.

Hypocrisy. :awesome:

Bleeding Cool is reporting that DC in September will beat Marvel in both market and dollar share.

DC's dollar share in September will be 35.74% to Marvel's 35.37%. This is because the only $3.99 comics DC sells now are Justice League, Action Comics, Men of War, and All-Star Western compared to Marvel selling over 30 titles at the $3.99 price point and a couple that are even above that.

DC's market share will be 43.04% to Marvel's 37.88%. The September numbers will not include Justice League #1.

DC is expected to maintain a similar lead in October due to Justice League #2 and second printings of last month's books.

Not surprising. Big stunts = big sales.

It also seems like Marvel's not even publishing as much stuff as it usually does, for some reason. I've got a couple 1-Marvel-comic weeks in October.

Which is a good thing, IMO.

Marvel generally puts out so many pointless issues. No one in their right mind should want to read "Dark Reign: Spider-Man vs. Ghost Rider: The One Shot".

But what about the years of history between Spider-Man and Ghost Rider? There could be catharses like you've never seen in that one-shot. :wow:

And it will all be reconned for no reason 6 months later when Bendis wants to put a shocking twist into his next event.

Yeah, that guy runs roughshod over everyone else's work. I'm worried about when Vision 2.0 joins the Avengers soon. He's a completely different character from the original Vision, but Bendis is one of those people who writes them as if they're the same person. Which basically means Vision 2.0 being a different person is going to be retconned away, since Bendis basically controls the whole Marvel universe. :cmad:

But then there are those who are huge fans of both who love Marvel for doing that. Though, it would make more sense to have a book similar to "DC Comics Presents" for that. Though IMO DC really ****ed up that by making the first Deadman **** 5 ****ing arcs.

I personally have been buying less Marvel. They've been annoying me greatly with their $3.99 price point, Fear Itself being outright horrible, and their upcoming stories not being as exciting as they used to be.

Yeah, I dropped all Marvel books except DD and Punisher. It's been all DC for me these days.

I've been avoiding Spider-Island and X-Men: Schismstuff. Maybe that's why I'm not buying as much Marvel. I don't like it. My Marvel pull usually outnumbers my DC pull. This is creating a very strange and disorienting feeling in me. :csad:

Aren't they even doing Fear Itself aftermath-like crap too?

Yeah, The Fearless and Battle Scars. Which, in fairness, sound a lot better than Fear Itself at the moment.
