But he had Congorilla. :csad:

And had he slapped a hawian Shirt on him and put an M60 in each hand, or given him a Combat Fork, he woulda been awesome. But he didn't.

Hm... Could be fun.

Dick Grayson
Booster Gold
Zatanna
Blue Beetle
Plastic Man
Green Arrow
Hawkman

Were they all alive at the time?

Where's the Beef? No physical heavy hitter.

Yeah, JLA needs more than a guy whose stronger than 12 men.

Also, he was all up in Brightest Day/Blackest Night being kinda dead, so, he was kinda off the table then.

See? Not so easy. :o

You know who wasn't doing anything at that time? Wally.

That's not a good excuse.

No bad characters, just bad writers.

Also, for no reason, and exercise in taste. If you had to pick a JLA team that couldn't include any of the Big Seven, who would you pick?

Seven Heroes that were active and not dead or anything at that particular time. Go.

I think that Robinson's run on Justice League of America shows the inherent flaw with the Justice League as a concept. Without Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the headlining Flash, headlining Green Lantern, and Aquaman, the team just isn't that interesting. DC has really put those six characters on such a high pedestal and has also built the Justice League to be a rather elitist team to where most characters don't feel like they belong on the Justice League.

It's why I find the Avengers to be the better team. It started off having Marvel's A-listers teaming up, but almost immediately they were replaced by Cap's Kooky Quartet. And throughout it's history it has been filled with A-listers, B-listers, C-listers, and even Z-listers. It's why most characters feel at home on the Avengers because it feels so much more inclusive.

To me it was more like the bad writing that everyone received. JLA can be interesting without trinity and the others, just needs the right writer to make them interesting and good.

Go fig DC would go and retcon everything about Secret Six. To bad all that development is flushed right down the drain.

Where did you hear that Secret Six has been retconned Primal Slayer

Batwoman, Demon Knights, and Frankenstein were all amazing yet again. Thank you, DC. :awesome:

Batwoman was my absolute favourite comic book this week :hrt: Loving that series so much

Demon Knights and Frankenstein were both a close second and I'm adoring the characters in both. And all the wacky mad science in Frankenstein makes me :)

I've only read Green Lantern and Suicide Squad so far. No complaints here!

Anyhow: Simone's apparently off Firestorm.

I won't be buying Firestorm anymore in that case

If Simone isn't writing the series I have zero interest in buying it

Ah I'mma just ignore everything Adam Glass writes. Especially anything he writes regarding the work of far superior writers

That's the best idea I've ever heard in my life.

Deadshot states that this is his first time working on a team. So it can only be assumed...

That just pisses me off, and I'm not even done on reading Secret Six. It's been so great so far. That book, Shadowpact, and the 90s Titans are things I'm still working on.

I'm up for this!

Power Girl
Nightwing
Green Arrow
Steel
Plastic Man
Captain Marvel
Zatanna
Hawkman

I'd like to add another brainy team member, instead of heaping all the responsibilities of explaining superscience-based threats onto Steel's shoulders, but I'm unaware of what the Atom's status was at the time. And where's Ted Kord when you need him?

Steel aside, I'd like this roster.

The 90s Titans series was fracking :awesome: what do you think of the new Teen Titans book sidekick

DC has announced that within the past six weeks, they have sold over 5 million issues of comics. They've also revealed the latest numbers to their biggest comics

250,000+
Justice League #1

200,000+
Action Comics #1
Batman #1

150,000+
Detective Comics #1
the Flash #1
Green Lantern #1
Superman #1

100,000+
Aquaman #1
Batgirl #1
Batman: The Dark Knight #1
Batman & Robin #1
Green Lantern Corps #1
Green Lantern: New Guardians #1
Wonder Woman #1

Hmmmm, I'd go with:

Captain Marvel
Powergirl
Flash
Booster Gold
Blue Beetle
Green Lantern (John Stewart ((shut up I like him))
Zantanna

I would dig that line up maybe swapping out Plastic Man for someone.

Ann Nocenti is confirmed to take over Green Arrow from Keith Giffen with issue #7. Makes me wonder if Giffen and Jurgens are just placeholders for Superman as well.

Were you seriously going to keep buying it with Simone on there? That book was horrendous.

I think it's a little funny how quickly some books are getting new writers already. And it's mostly the books that people are hating, like Firestorm and Green Arrow. I thought Superman was pretty well-received, though, and it's already swapping creative teams.

Why would that be? There are a few flashes and a ton of GLs.

Because "The Flash" and "The Green Lantern" are part of the "Big 7", not "Barry Allen" and "Hal Jordan", so all Flashes and Green Lanterns should be excluded.

As for my team:

Nightwing
Power Girl
Captain Marvel
Plastic Man
Green Arrow
Black Canary
Zatanna

That seems a bit arbitrary. But as you will sub in plastic man for one and steel for the other, they do well together.
