DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 7

that's not really new though, they've been doing that with x-titles since the 70's

Really? What other X-books were there besides Uncanny back then?

I know when I first started reading X-Men as a kid in the 80's there was only Uncanny and New Mutants (which had only been around for a year or so).

Also, Spidey and the Thing had a bunch of books in the 70's and 80's.

Where have you been? It seems like we've known about this for a month. Sucks that Helena B. is another character that gets to be erased by flashpoint.

You thought it'd be batman and superman? We've known it's huntress and power girl for a while <_<

If anything were to turn me off to this book, it'd be how the artist gave power girl an awful feathered 80's hairstyle.

I kind of like her hair there personally

It's kind of cute

Batwoman, Batman, Batgirl and Batwing are the best ones to get

I'd say batman, batwoman, batman and robin, red hood, penguin pain and prejudice

Agreed. World's finest? Mmh, no. Und Huntress? My poor beloved Huntress? I loved her, I used to love the character, like I did with all the Birds of Prey in fact, but now... maybe it is a good thing to "relaunch everything" but thesad part is when they changed something cool. Or at least that I found cool. I can't say I'll buy this book. :BA

Wait, so this huntress is the daughter of the golden age batman and this power girl is the cousin of golden age superman?

yes and no. They are basically just the daughter/cousin of Earth 2 Batman/Superman. But they will be new Earth2 versions and somehow ended up trap on Earth 1 during the conversion of Flashpoint. I wish they would/do mention that Helena B. was merged with Helena Wayne with HW getting HBs memories so she can atleast have lived on in some way.

I'll give it a shot just because Power Girl is sweet.

That would be unnecessarily complicated. Like when they tried to do the same boos**t with Carter Hall and Katar Hol. I'd rather have Helena B, but eh, what chu gonna do? Making an even bigger mess of things certainly is not what I would do. :o

X-Factor was in the 80's as well.

Well, to be fair, it was summer of 1986, so the decade was more than half over. :oldrazz:

Also, Spidey and the Thing had a bunch of books in the 70's and 80's.

Spidey had 3 books tops in the 70's... ASM, & Marvel Team-Up which began in 1972, and then Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man in 1976.

And other than the FF, the Thing only appeared regularly in Marvel Two-In-One in the 70's... when that series was cancelled in 1983, it was replaced by a 3 year run of The Thing...

I'm not sure what the definition of a "bunch" is...

:yay:

World's Finest only works for me with Supes and Bats... :o

Well DC likes the complicated. Thats why they change their characters origins every year so they can keep us on our feet.

I would've thought about it if it was Bertellini. And if To kept drawing it.

Honestly, I don't think I would've had much interest in it even if it was Batman and Supes.

Superman/Batman showed glimpses of being an absolutely awesome anthology series and time and time again DC let it drop in quality by using subpar creative teams and consistently having a lack of solid editorial direction.
