DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 8

Y'know what bugs me the most about it?

Graphic novels and comic books are two different things. :o

Not anymore......or were you just bulls**tin'?

Just because I can't afford to buy new comics that I don't enjoy much anyway doesn't mean I don't still read comics. I re-read back issues all the time.

I never read Glory before the relaunch, so I can't exactly say how different it is from previous incarnations. I bought the book because I know the artist on it and it turned out to be pretty damn good.

But from the first issue of the relaunch, it basically reintroduces us to Glory who is a half-Amazonesque/half-demon warrior who once fought in World War II and after sometime ended up disappearing. Then you have a reporter who is a Glory fangirl trying to find what ended up happening to Glory.

It's been getting some pretty good reviews as well, I recommend trying it out.

I'll have to check that one out next time I do some comic shopping  It sounds like its pretty interesting

Liefeld has come out on Twitter saying that Hawkman, Grifter, and Deathstroke are on the verge of cancellation.

Same here, but we all knew most of these books would end up being busts after the hype calmed down.

It's not even that, it's that they just suck period.

Hawkman deserved better than he got in the new 52 :(

I'm pretty sure that Hawkman got the reboot schtick as well. In the post-Flashpoint DC Universe, Katar Hol and Carter Hall are one in the same. And Hawkman wasn't in the JSA or fought in World War II.

I really wanna read the Johns run.

Perfect opportunity to have simplified the character. If there was no JSA then there was no Golden Age Hawkman. So what was he? A reincarnated Alien?

His continuity is a confuzzling thing :ninja: I get the feeling its only going to get more confusing

Though I liked the Gray and Palmiotti run on his book a while ago that was pretty fab

Satana and her army of animal men ftw

he told me at wonder con that he's taking amy reeder's place on batwoman

Don't joke about stuff like that :csad:

The thought of an 'artist' using the term loosely like Liefield doing the art on Batwoman is horrific :wow:

I mean I'd still buy it as long as JH Williams was writing it because Kate Kane is my absolute favourite comic book character of all time

But the thought of a talentless bigoted **** like Liefield doing the art for an amazing comic book like Batwoman is just horrible

There would be pouches everywhere

If Liefeld was to draw for Batwoman I would lose all faith in the superhero comicbook genre.
