DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 9

Why do I have this bad feeling one of the super titles were going to be part of this (yes I'm looking at you Superboy:()

I think that Superboy might be safe, but Legion Lost, I, Vampire, Grifter, Savage Hawkman, Blue Beetle, and Frankenstein seem to be done for in January.

Looks like the new 52 is slowly turning into the stale 48. Soon to be the Lame 36. then the Wack 24. There's no way DC can keep so many titles in print. But DC's new editorial hasn't learned anything from the collapse of the comic book industry in the 90's.

Part of publishing is launching stuff. If it don't sell it gets axed for new stuff. As more and more books fail to catch on they'll get cancelled. As sales continue to drop on most titles the DC implosion of 2013 is coming. in 5...4...3...

As long as they keep publishing Batwoman I'll be happy. Doesn't really matter to me what happens to the rest of the DCU

That said I do hope that Demon Knights, Stormwatch, Legion of Superheroes, Flash, Birds of Prey, Worlds Finest, Earth 2, Teen Titans and Justice League Dark continue for a long while yet I've been enjoying those comic books so far :)

Honestly, it's be much better if DC only had 36-42 titles going.

so........dare I ask........any word of Raven?

also, speaking of Batman in the Smallville comic........Batman's sidekick is not Robin, but Nightwing........Stephanie Brown!!

I actually like the 52 titles. It does give them a chance to try out new books even if the likelihood of them getting canceled is pretty high. They're at least giving them a chance to find an audience.

how long do you think it will be before DC reboots the whole reboot and goes back to the old series........

The last time we've heard of Raven was that Scott Lobdell wanted her for his Teen Titans but DC editorial won't let him use her because they have bigger plans for her. So instead they've pushed Static (and I imagine soon to be Blue Beetle once his book is done) on him.

ah....I know......but I was hoping DC would have revealed a bit more of what their "bigger plans" for her were.

While I like Steph I don't like her as Nightwing. She was horrible as Robin and really there was no point to that and I didn't care for her as Batgirl as I preferred Cassandra Cain to her and Babs to Cassandra. I think she works better as Spoiler.

I don't think I've ever like Steph. Like the people who don't like Jason Todd, I think she was better off dead, or as Spoiler.

I liked her because she was what Cassie (Wonder Girl) was to Conner (Superboy) a person who he could talk to and fall in love with and was at first an escape from his life as Robin. They were great as a couple but when they tried to expand her beyond being Spoiler it failed.

I would never call Steph an escape from Tim's life as Robin. Since she didn't know his secret identity, the only time he could ever see her was AS Robin.

Agreed but I am thinking about more during the time she was pregnant and Robin wanted to be with her when she gave up the suit for a while.

It's also what made me like Tim. Showed him to be a stand-up guy.

I've always dug Steph personally she's a fun character and her series with her as Batgirl was amazing

She fought a dracula on a segway :awesome:

Tim needs to use some of that Wayne family money to hire a costume designer for the Teen Titans :ninja:
