I just counter those home turf sidekicks/back ups with my own. And ever since the Devs balanced them, they don't do much damage and pretty much die in 3 - 4 hits.

Update 28 has made PvP much faster. It has brought back skill into the PvP, a lot of whiners on the forums are crying because they can't use their easy button win anymore. I have fun stripping shields from Tanks now. t:

Haha, the whiners on the DCUO forums always give a good laugh. Every time a power is nerfed they go up in arms claiming they'll never play the game again yet continue to do so.

What role/power are you btw? And are you the same Midnite that usually stands just outside some of the PDs in Metro on PS3?

Nope, I'm on the US PC server. My powerset is gadget/damage dealer. If needed I can play controller role.

SOE Live 2013: DCUO changing its loot mechanics

Even though the focus of DC Universe Online's presence at SOE Live was the upcoming DLC Sons of Trigon, SOE had some other superheroic news to deliver as well.

The devs are rebooting the game's loot system, so now when groups and raids kill a boss, every single person will get items of their very own. The items will be random as far as piece and class, so no one is assured to get something they can actually use. Although no exact date was given, Creative Director Jens Andersen stated that the change would be rolled out in stages instead of waiting for the entire system to be overhauled. He added that the newer tiers would see the change first, then the lower levels.

What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas, at least where SOE Live is concerned! Massively sent intrepid reporters MJ Guthrie and Karen Bryan to this year's SOE Live, from which they'll be transmitting all the best fan news on EverQuest Next, EverQuest II, DC Universe Online, and the other MMOs on SOE's roster.

It's what Tanin said cause it was left to a roll of a dice chance and and before that all goes to one person before that. if one screw happens , it seems(I should say does) to cause problem especially those the like to sell stuff at the auction house. With this it eliminate's that problem Especilly those that would throw fit cause the trying to make sale the auction house. yeah you can always trade with people after the high roll happens But there are some certain people that are just not always trust able too. this is beside the fact that some people just want a certain armor the their character they are playing currently needs. it just a void alot of unnecessary trouble on alot of levels.

Like to point out only items tradable would be plans from raids. Also majority of gears from alerts, ops, and raids are not tradeable. Only time gears that you can sell/trade is the ones that are common styles.

Just before the events of SOE Live actually got rolling, DC Universe Online's next DLC was announced. But that little bit of foreknowledge certainly didn't mean that folks had heard everything; it was, in fact, quite the opposite. Attendees were treated to an eye-ful and earful of Sons of Trigon goodness as well as some other non-DLC 8 related tidbits.

We were on the scene to catch these announcements in the various panels for you, and we also got to speak with Design Director Jesse Benjamin, Producer Larry Liberty, and Creative Director Jens Andersen to hear their thoughts on DCL 8, see a preview of the new areas, and get a hint of what's coming in the future. How have the reviews been on console ports? I'm curious whetever to wait for Playstation 4 or to ge tthis on PC.

they haven't all put them up yet I'm checking them to see when put those up.

All of the previews of the PS4 version that I saw made it seem like it ran as well as the PC version does on high settings.

Also keep in mind that the PS3/PS4 versions do not interact with the PC version, so if you're thinking about starting with the PC and maybe using the PS4 version down the line, you can't use the same characters.

How do you feel it's gimped?

It is limited by the hardware of what he ps3 can do. Instead of being a PC game it is a ps3 game that runs on my PC.

Such things as my AA and draw distance are **** because of it. Load times suck. Etc etc.

No that shouldn't be the case. it was always the other way around they even said so. the pc should be of better quality and many people have been claiming it so. that was always a complaint of the owners on the ps3 version's when comparing the two. if you had it for both I mean and why they are putting this on next gen

and you just believe them? While the pc version does play better it still has major problems they refuse to fix because of the ps3 version. They are too worried of making one run too much better then the other.

I'm just hoping that with it moving to the ps4 the pc version I play will run smoother too.

what I mean by they is I still have bu buddies from my old league from when I was in beta keeping me in touch. but I'm sure it'll improve the situation. I understand though the ps3 version was what sold better then the pc and currently is by used more ps3 users so it makes sense . also cause there's more competition and there certain people like me that like to test other new up and coming ip's be cause it's how they make a living or they just want to help out . Maybe this will help put things on more equal terms.

They keep saying soon, but that last video which was put up last night Jens said for the pc players they can see that stuff now as it is available to them now test wise. Next week they will be doing what they did with the counsel where they played as future batman and lex with wonder woman and cheetah to .
