It's been only a few weeks since DCUO's Sons of Trigon DLC was first announced, but it's already appeared on the test server, and the date it goes live is just around the corner. Yesterday, DCUO Creative Director Jens Andersen and Systems Designer Jesse Scott sat down with press to lead a livestream tour highlighting the new zone, new bounty missions, two Legends characters, and new Celestial powers. It's launch day for DC Universe Online's eighth DLC pack! Sons of Trigon is out now, and it features a new power, new zones, new alerts and duos, new Legends PvP toons, and plenty of new gear.

The new power set is called Celestial and it's made for healing. New zones include the Gotham Wasteland and its daily solo quests as well as the Mausoleum alert that boasts a battle royale with Trigon. Cheetah and Donna Troy are your new Legends PvP avatars, and SOE has also included a bunch of additional feats and collections.

Legendary DCUO members get Sons of Trigon for free, while Premium and Free members can purchase it for $9.99 via the in-game market, the official website, or the PlayStation Network. Don't forget the launch trailer after the break!

During this year's PAX Prime, I was able to grab some hands-on time with the PlayStation 4 version of DC Universe Online. The demo was made up of content from the brand-new DLC, Sons of Trigon. The DLC features three new duos and an alert, whereas I feature slightly rusty DCUO skills.

In fact, nearly all of my DCUO experience has been with a keyboard and mouse, so I reached for the controller with hesitation. I managed to pull slightly more confidence from a long history of PlayStation gaming and Sony's staunch refusal to change the basic layout of its controller for 19 years and counting. Cool to read a PS4 version preview,I might go legendary but not until after I rank up to the highest level and do most other levels,My first two characters's powers will be gadgets anyway.

I asked this before but forgot IF answered..I can use my PSN wallet credit to be legendary right?,Like if I buy a $50-$100 PSN card and put in my store wallet then can I use money from there to automatically pay each month for the subscription?

I'm pretty sure you can you can ask the people at the store you head to to pick that up as well for confirmation.
Ok They said the next legends pvp characters will be on the flash family and eventually they are thinking about using vandal savage as the main villain though he was originally intended to be the main villain in the first installment, but they put Brainic and what's soon to be dark side ahead of him cause the sony board was being difficult to convince innitally. As the you see the youtube video 6 posts up shows.


So they have alot planned.

He's free if your a legendary membership other wise you have to pick up marks of legends like the rest of the other characters. And this for "legendary pvp mode only." Where you play as those DC heroes.

Yes it'll on ps4 and best of all you can still play as power girl and super girl and they said they are adding in super boy Connor Kent to the legends pvp part too. Since he was just added in as part of the son's of Trigon DlC 8 mission. So stay tuned.

They are adding the Flash family next for that eventually and a lot more before that happens like fighting Dark seid or Orion in different missions for upcoming DlC. It will most likely be numbered 9 we'll see.

so, wait, in addition to creating your own character, you can play as the DC heroes/villains, too?

also, are the DLC like Sons of Trigon free? or do you have to purchase them?

can I pick and choose which DLC I want to purchase and play through, or do I have to do them in a certain order?

also, I see that Sons of Trigon adds a new power class, Celestial. That would be perfect for my Holy Knight/Paladin type character.

So, if I purchase Sons of Trigon, would that power be available for me to select at the beginning of the game, and can be used throughout the entire game??

Or, do I have to play through Sons 1st to unlock it, or is it only useable during the Sons mission??

DlC 8 has been free since the 3rd of this month. As for playing as the main heroes and villains of the DCU that's only for a special pvp mode which you Q up for in this MMO. Most of the stuff prior you have played and work your character up to a certain level to have viewable to you. certain mission will be available to when your a certain level and have finish all the mission you have done on you (what I like to call )case list since this is detective comic's.

Yes they received the dLc first a month a head cause they were subscribers. The new power are available to everyone just make a new character. If you want more than one character you have to be a subscriber and the have a certain number of certain subscribers. Legend has the most of multiple toon's character you can create.

you pick those up for your character by doing the case's and crimes your sent on by your quest givers, which are the heroes and villains of the DCU.

Yes to both. A sword and shield are duel weapons. I didn't see it too often when I played but I pretty sure you can. And yeah you can transfer to ps4 with out a problem.
