I enjoyed it but it didn't WOW me. It is suppose to be a 2 part pilot so that may be it. But I enjoyed that they weren't originally legends and that they will take matters into their own hands and change that.

It's kind of funny how writers treat Laurel outside of her home show, her sparring scene with Sara was so enjoyable.

But they did a good job of giving just about everyone scenes that helped build their character.

Some tiny nitpiks....Why the hell is the ship look way bigger inside than it shows outside? Also, some of the space seems wasted.

Don't know what I think of this. I feel they're doing a test run to see how something like a Justice League would do and whether it would get real overcrowded. I feel some characters are gonna get shafted.

I had some nitpicky moments, like how did some of them have their costumes if they showed up to the ship empty handed?

But I really liked the twist at the end, with Hunter actually being on the run, although I kinda expected that in the beginning. But lying to the team because they're insignificant explains why Arrow, Flash and other big names weren't recruited. Also, I got a bit teary eyed during Ray's talk with Oliver about how his death was insignificant, and then the reveal later on with why Rip wanted to go back to stop Savage.

Overall, it was decent, but I hope that they find their footing in the next few episodes and that it's not as rushed in terms of story.

Hey, whoever guessed Chronos was in this, can't remember who, was right. I tip my hat and admit defeat.

Loved the pilot. Cold and Heatwave were once again my favorite parts.

I don't understand why they made a 2-part Pilot and then didn't air both parts back-to-back. It's like only showing half of a movie in one theatrical setting, and makes it hard to judge the story or the show.

I did like the dynamic that's started to form between Sara, Snart, and Mick, and the nuance that they gave Professor Stein by having his desire for adventure and scientific discovery lead him to do a very uncharacteristic thing and 'kidnap' Jax.

I've liked Ray on Arrow, but the motivation they gave him for wanting to join this misfit team felt a little bit false to me based on his characterization up to this point, which was kind of disappointing.

I was also a little bit disappointed that they pulled the old 'time traveler recruits these people based on a lie' tactic, since it kind of diminishes the entire premise a bit and doesn't really add anything new.

Also, couldn't they have come up with a different name than Gideon for the Waverunner's AI? It feels a little bit lazy and more than a bit confusing since we've already SEEN an AI called Gideon (Morena Baccarin) on The Flash.

Snart made me laugh with the Boba Fett joke, hilarious.

You know, for all of the trouble and time that was spent in trying to establish these characters on their respective shows in the past (Arrow and Flash), this show did a much better job in fleshing out these guys for me in tonight's episode.

this was an awesome start snart and heat wave are there for chaos v which the writers like but we'll see if snart take to likeing being a good guy or not. so the hawk have to kill savage them selves here. we'll see what happens . lol heat wave said doctor stein roofied jessy well that teach doctor stein never to do that again cause that just plain creepy.

both doctor sten and the atom dr. ray palmer in a trip on time travel it'a a shame ronnie's isn't in this yet , but will come later on.

yeah it's not the comic's but it's interesting that both his professor's are in this time travel trip together.

Great episode. Very Doctor Who-ish. The actors all have great chemistry with each other and the show keeps the light hearted humor and tone of Flash and Supergirl. Very good start.

Cisco should really just open up a business where he makes costumes and weapons for a living, everyone and their momma goes to him for a clothes and weapons.

What's the deal with the time travel element here? Did they ever explain why can't he just take his ship to 30 minutes before his wife and kid are killed and save them? If he's breaking the rules to field this team and take on this hunt, why not save his family and hide them in time? Or why not just take the ship all the way back and kill Vandal Savage before he becomes immortal? Will they even bother to try and explain this or did I miss something?

Also, isn't this show going to get frustrating knowing they can't achieve their agenda for a long while? If they kill Vandal Savage, the story ends and they all go home. So, everything they do will be one step behind Vandal Savage and like peeing on a forest fire.

Second half of the episode felt a lot better than the first. Felt like they were trying to do an awful lot in a small space of time. Not as good a start as The Flash, but there's promise. Look forward to seeing how these characters start relating to one another.

it worked for mr. fantastic in the marvel side tile spider man and the X-Men learned to make it for them selves after the secret wars.

One of the biggest mysteries in life is now how to manipulate and create an Atom with one's mind, but rather on how Cisco isn't a freaking Billionaire in this universe after all of the gadgets and tactical gear that he's made on his own.

Not a great start, IMO. About on par with Supergirl's pilot I'd say. And since Supergirl eventually began to improve(marginally) I'm willing to come back next episode and keep watching...for now.

5/10

I think the producers said that they'll reveal later on how Time Travel won't be able to solve their problems if one of the members is killed during the mission.

Something about how the Ship can't visit a period in which the members had already visited.

Also, Rip mentioned something along the lines that while his ultimate goal is stop Vandal Savage from amassing the powers that he does in the future, he has to also be very careful of the overall timeline as well. So it's possible that given on how deeply rooted into History Vandal is, it may be too dangerous to strike him down when he was still mortal as certain events in history that he was involved with need to play out.

But I do seem to recall seeing a shot in the trailer of Rip fighting Vandal in Ancient Egypt so there's that.

Second half of the episode felt a lot better than the first. Felt like they were trying to do an awful lot in a small space of time. Not as good a start as The Flash, but there's promise. Look forward to seeing how these characters start relating to one another.

I think the mistake here was cutting the Pilot into two halves since tonight's episode was just the first half of one long pilot, thus things feel more rushed within the timeframe of a standard episode.

they said the reason after kendra's professor son that had been fallowing savage "research wise "died after they brought the poor man on the wave runner, if you try to change something like that (their child on coming death) which set kinda like in doctor who it's a fixed point time thing it'll will make sure that person will end up dead still or something worse will happen.

think of it like the final destination movies, where some people that survived weren't supposed to death started doing more excessive things to make sure that person died added more people chaos wise.

so the poor oldman that was the hawk hero son died due to this and rip knew that same thing would happen to his kid son .

the best way to stop it or get back at savage would be stop savage at an earlier event cause time would allow that. but it won't allow him to save his son just seconds befor he's about to be killed cause time will still have the poor child of Rips be killed regardless from that point .

So Rip has to kill vandal before he ever finds his own wife and child. Time will only give him that to allow his family to live, I guess . if he gets the chance to see them again that is. The way Rip was talking about it , it sounds like he's not likely to get his own family back.

I thought it was pretty fun. I agree with those who said it would've been better to have shown the second part too.

Awesome start of the series and loving every minute of it. This is what both Arrow and Flash should have been. Felt like watching a DCU movie!!

If the rating beats out Flash, it would be the highest rated show out of CW.

Notice that both Supergirl and Legends step up in action than Arrow and Flash that are held back by soap opera stuff.

It sure isn't slow paced like some of the other DCU shows.

Only criticism is that it should have been a 2 hour premiere. This show is going to go further than Flash in terms of time travel.

We get it you don't like Flash or Arrow. You certainly bring them up a lot for someone who dislikes them so much. **** like this is what's annoying folks.

But just finished the episode I had it on my DVR. Awesome pilot, show is a lot of fun and really well done. I love both Flash and Arrow so I'm glad to have another awesome show in the universe now

My friend definitely enjoyed watching this. Though the only issue that he had was how he felt that Rip could have just gone back in time to when Team Arrow and Flash were fighting Vandal and tell them to allow the Hawks to deal the final blow since that apparently is what it takes to permanently kill Vandal and keep him dead.
