One of the weaknesses I feel with this show is that sometimes characters just act a certain way to service the plot/writers rather than what they normally would do based on who they are.
the same happened in arrow with diggle he went straight to lyla after his brother Andy tortured him and stabbed him with a tracking device . and he really acted stupid the week before inciting Ruve darhk to call a man hunt for vigilantes, and oliver while stopping Diggle called him john to pull him off in front of her. (yeah she knew) but those body guards didn't if one was still alive..... or If there was a cam or if ruve really wanted to she could have said she knew who the green arrow was cause of oliver's bad habit of calling out their real names on missions and them always having melt downs cause they don't know how to be detectives so they head out rage cause more trouble for them selves.

I had this discussion with my youngest sister about diggle's two week chase/ persute of Andy and it happen here with ray falling into savage's trick.

Lyla kinda fall into this as well we also asked why she had that damn chip in her arm it's as bad as diggle hiding that piece of the idol in his house.

they are linked to an agency and mostly Layla and they don't know how to put things in better hiding places beside their house or on them selves? come on diggle family Real agent's don't do that . John diggle isn't really an agent but his wife shouldn't have made that mistake.

it was just done to further the story even though everyone knew it was overly stupid of them to do so and should know way better.

ray was aware and let savage get him mad to screw up. nice.

And, this episode made the "your love is brainwashed!" threat from the previous incredibly dumb. So, the only thing it took to bust the brainwashing was motivation. I refuse to believe reincarnation wouldn't have done the trick, too.

Also, no fair teasing me! Savage totally should have killed Carter again. It would have been great.

This episode didn't resolve any of the brainfreezes the characters had at the end of the previous episode. Yes, they tried to keep addressing the elephant in the room but that gets you only so far.

And at least they should have come up with something science-y to rid Carter of his amnesia. If you had to just motivate him, why did you keep Savage alive?

Talking about Savage, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the conversation Rip and he had at the beginning was the first moment since the Arrow-Flash crossover that I genuinely felt intimidated by Vandal. I kinda think Rip and Savage may have a good chemistry together but they have hardly been together on screen, if at all this season.

And ya...
"Who are you to take on Vandal Savage destroyer of empires?"
"Leonard Snart robber of ATMs"
:awesome::lmao:

Not gonna lie, I instantly laughed when Carter immediately got stabbed when he regained his memory.

S1E2: Carter dies from stabbing.
S1E15: Finally remembers, immediately gets stabbed.

But for real, does anyone else get bored the moment he comes on screen? He's just the driest person ever. Like, seriously. So the fact that I got entertained by him was refreshing.
