Is Snart becoming the heart of the team?

Great episode.

Sara is such a badass. I always thought she was really cheesy on Arrow (perhaps because of her costume, or perhaps because of the choreography), but they're really selling her here. Lotz is nailing the physical stuff, plus with all the daggers, ninja stars, sniper rifles, etc, I just think she's so cool. (She's giving me the vibes I wish Black Widow would in the Marvel movies).

The Firestorm stuff is cool too. A Soviet Firestorm and all that. A bit emotionally repetitive in these few episodes, but still well done. It's nice to have a regular kid POV character like Jefferson on the team too. Love how he calls Stein 'grey' or 'crazy old man', haha. It's endearing.

Cold/Heat Wave/Atom stuff was great again too. Pretty good prison set, and Heat Wave had a ton of hilarious lines (" -_- More drinking, less feeling"). Seriously, I had to pause the episode I was laughing so hard at that one.

Best episode yet. So far, this show's better than the current seasons of The Flash and Arrow.

Is Snart becoming the heart of the team?

Snart is the voice of common sense. He's the voice of the audience's critical thinking, with the lack of tact necessary to point out when other characters are being idiots.

I really liked the episode. The only issue I had was that Ray just seemed way to naive.

I just really wanted to see him get his ass kicked when he wouldn't listen to Mick about how to survive in prison, I can't be the only one.

Yeah, I just kept wondering why they were having act so stupid.

Heatwave: He took a beating for me.
Snart: Raymond would take a beating for a complete stranger.

I liked that exchange, because its true. He did that very thing earlier in the episode. I like seeing that Ray is just a really good guy, a real hero.

LAst night epuisode was pretty good. First loved the little cameo of a fake cisco for stien. The stuff with the evil doctor and stien was good. Also it was nice to see jax and kendra want to help out. The micky and ray scenes were solid too. Overall a very good episode. Also the tease at the end for next week and the future green arrow was good.

As for who this connor hawke is we already know they said he wont be relation to ollie. And i doubt it be a diggle grandkid. So my guess he is likely just a random citizen that grew up on the stories and legends of green arrow and ollie probably been in hiding for awhile and this guy found one of ollie's lair's and took up the tech and name and to try and restore star city.

That is how you write a great rescue episode, (writers of) Flash!!!

I thought every single element of today's episode worked brilliantly and it was a fun ride from start to finish- Sara being an ass-kicker, Rory and Ray's in-prison adventures and Stein's interactions with Vandal and Vostok with some very witty dialogue all around.

Top episode!

He's a good guy, but he's also a know-it-all who doesn't know how to read the ****ing room. I think we all have one friend like that, or maybe ARE the friend like that.

Good episode, more hype for the next.

Thanks to Ray and Sara, Heatwave and Cold now know that Oliver is the Green Arrow though.

I get that he's good and not as dark as some of the other characters, but it was really hard for me to buy his stupidity/naivete in a Soviet gulag.

Heatwave: He took a beating for me.
Snart: Raymond would take a beating for a complete stranger.

Heatwave: He also had sex with that big guy over there so I could have this lighter.
Snart: .... yeaaaaah, we'll edit this part out for the broadcast version.

Not a horrendous episode, but not a great one either. Had a few things I really liked:

Pros:

- Captain Cold & Sara continue to be the highlights. Great thinking on the Russian mafia having connects
- Heatwave is still a great one note character and his budding respect for The Atom was a little touching
- The criminal's code seems to be more honorable than any other code
- Valentina HNNNGNGNGNN
- Black Arrow
- LOL at Vandal dying AGAIN

Cons:

- Why didn't Kendra just stab Vandal with the knife?
- I'm about over with "humanity" being a theme. Time to move past this.
- Rip / Sara about to smash. Only a con out of jealousy
- Chronus being nothing more than a plot device
- Valentina basically raped Dr. Stein, forcing him to get inside of her like that

Very curious to see what's going to happen next episode. Will we see future Diggle and Lyla? Is there child Green Arrow?

Top Characters I want to see in the cast:

- Deathstroke
- Deadshot
- A Speedster (pick one, have plenty to choose from)
- Huntress
- More Damian Darkh

Great episode !

Watching Palmer getting beaten up by the Russian prison thug brought back memories of Clark Kent's beating by the Diner bully in Superman 2.

I think at this point, it's been firmly established on Arrow and Legends that Ray scores high on the "mad genius" part and low on the "common sense" part. And that's his schtick to differentiate him from Stein, who is more logical, pragmatic and restrained.

Well everybody pretty much knows Oliver is Green Arrow is so that comes as no surprise.

Jax says "Barry who ?", so he is aware of Barry's identity ?

i am pretty sure he knew who he was before he left with stein or probably learned of it being joined with stein and having his memories.

Russian chick Valentina reminded me of Cate Blanchett in Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.

Liking Sara and Snart as a team together even more. I'm glad the show is giving us more of his moral side along with Mick with Ray.

Jax making that snide remark about Barry Allen who was great. He finally got to shine in this one.

Loved this episode, the best one yet!
