Dead Rising 2, Possible trailer leak?

Way to stick it to Capcom, you really showed them, giving them full price for the game, then getting probably less than half back from someone other than Capcom
I got the game free actually and it wasnt about sticking it to Capcom. Unless its a really great game that I can see myself coming back to alot, I tend to get rid of games when Ive 100% them, which I did with DR2. After I got the platinum, there was no reason to keep it around. The DLC would have been incentive, but the PS3 didnt have that, so I sold it and put it towards another game. I actually made $35 off of a game I paid $0 for, so I think I made out quite well

Frank looks a lot like Dan Aykroyd in that trailer, and not in a good way. why the hell they make him all bloated up?

That was intentional. The way the story goes is that after DR1, his career has taken a nose dive. He's put on some weight, lost a bit of hair and become a loser. So he plans on revitalizing his career by doing reality television and thats through Terror is Reality. He's supposed to look like a mess and I think that works with what they are going for

Capcom has scheduled another trip to Fortune City for Dead Rising fans later this year when Dead Rising 2: Off The Record hits stores. This new zombie-filled adventure was playable at E3, and I got to take a look at what has changed from last year’s hit.

The biggest difference this time around is that you’re not in the shoes of DR 2 protagonist Chuck Greene, but instead are once again behind the lens of the original hero of Dead Rising, reporter Frank West. The game pretty much plays the same as the others, so DR veterans will be right at home. The biggest difference, though, is that you can take photographs (like in the original DR), which can help earn you experience points (PP) for upgrades and new attacks.

The rest of the game is pretty much the same as DR 2. You can once again combine weapons to form your own creative armaments of mass zombie destruction. The new game does promise to have some new weapon combinations, but the only one I discovered is the combination of saw blades and a tennis ball machine. Needless to say, you can “serve” up some real carnage with that one.

Overall, DR 2: Off the Record is pretty much the same game as DR 2, with the play and feel of the original game, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. DR veterans will probably snatch this up right off the bat. While new players can easily pick it up and play, they may be better off getting the first two games beforehand. The good news: You won’t have to pay full price once again to survive Fortune City, as Capcom has announced that this version will be released at the discounted price of $39.99.

$40 price tag was expected but I still cant se myself paying that much for Dead Rising 2 yet again. I think I will wait till I can get it for free off of Goozex. I doubt this will happen but I do hope that they include Case West on the PS3 version of the game

I'm not paying for Dead Rising 2 again... I'm paying for Frank West. :o

I'll definitely be getting this, I thought it was just gonna be another mini DLC game, not a full one. I'm sure it'll be a different feel with Frank as the lead character opposed to Chuck. Just hope there aren't any multiplayer achievements, it's all I'm missing from both Dead Rising 2 and Case West

I imagine the game will pretty much feel exactly the same with the exception that you will now be able to take photos and they will have new survivors/psychos which should open up different dialogue and scenes. Still DR2.

Capcom confirmed that co-op will return (the second player will be Chuck), but Terror Is Reality won't return thankfully.

Friend of mine let me borrow this game last week and its fun as hell!!!

Only thing I dislike about the DR series is the timer... It bugged me in the first one. Sure it was gone in the second... only to be replaced by Chucks kid needing Zombrex every so often.

I wonder what the catch will be here? I'd love it if for once they just let us do whatever without a "timer."

Having never played DR1, I dont know what the difference you might be referring to but there was a timer in DR2; they didnt eliminate that. I dont tend to like timers in games but it works here. I dont think it should be an unlimited time run, at least not for the main story. Maybe they can have a free mode, but the timer needs to stick for the campagin

Supposedly this game is going to have something that fans have been clamoring for. Perhaps an unlockable 'Unlimited Time' mode?

Case West added that when you save a survivor, they are saved, you don't have to bring them somewhere. That making it to the main games would be welcomed.

Nah, I don't think they'll do that. In Case West, the survivors knew the area since they worked there. I don't think a tourist would know where the safe room is. I didn't feel the survivors were pains in the asses in DR2, so I'd be fine if they kept it the way it is.

I wonder if we will be seeing the same survivors or if everyone will be completely different. Ditto on the Psychopaths

Yeah, I didn't mind carting survivors around behind me in DR 2 because their AI wasn't terminally stupid like in DR. Hell, arm a few with shotguns and you've got a little zombie-murdering army that actually makes the game easier. I was almost sad to drop them off at the safe room sometimes.

Capcom's confirmed that some of the Psychos will return, but there will be some new ones too. I don't think they've talked about the Survivors yet.

I hope the Psychos at least have different dialogue/cutscenes. I dont want a direct rehash of DR2. Maybe they will react differently to Frank as opposed to Chuck

Why does Frank look like he's 50-60 years old on the cover?

He has an awful hairline. Here's the PS3 version

Game goes out Oct 11 and here's the preorder bonus. Oh and if you have DR2 save data, you get Chuck's jacket

Jesus, what the **** are they doing during the design process of Frank? He's getting goofier and goofier. Give it a rest
