Deadpool Deadpool Discussion- SPOILER WARNING!!

Damn good flick, loved every second. Ryan Rey olds carried this movie perfectly.

Loved this film so much. Though it wasn't the funniest line or the actual punchline, my favourite was the "Oh, I'm gonna f#@ing spell it out for ya". Loved the delivery and the call back, plus the actual punchline afterwards.

Loved the Ferris Bueller tag. Hope we see Cable in the sequel and alongside Deadpool in a X-force movie. Stephen Lang recently expressed interest in the role and he's long been a fan cast that I've liked, so it would be cool to see that happen.

The film was excellent. I did find it a tiny bit odd that the biggest reaction in my theater was for saying that Ajax got his name from dish soap.

This was a great film. I especially loved how the film frequently broke the fourth wall and referenced stuff from superhero movies (Feige's pizza, the James McAvoy/Patrick Stewart joke, the references to Barakapool and Green Lantern). Just so much fun all around. Ryan Reynolds knocked it out of the park, TJ Miller was also really funny. Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead were great too. Morena Baccarin was a tad underused in the second half of the movie, but I still really liked her character. I also though Ed Skrien and Gina Carano played a couple badass villains, even if their storyline was a bit underdeveloped.

Oh, and the Ferris Bueller joke was the best.

That moment was great
I feel like someone here called that end-credit scene exactly a couple months back
Can't remember who, though

I think there is an argument to be made that , inadvertently, Deadpool is the best X Men movie we have seen yet (I would say with DOFP aside).

It's definitely up there. I would probably hold a couple of X-Men movies higher for some reasons like that Deadpools awesome humor kind of takes some heat away from the serious quest of revenge, but the movie still does it's thing so well.

I would say it's 4th or 5th for me at the moment, FC, X2 and DOFP are definitely above it. You could argue X1 and the r rated cut of The Wolverine are as good as if not better also. But Deadpool is great in its own right.

The audience where I was cheered hard when they revealed Negasonic's X-men costume. Twas so great to see a bright color.

it's definitely in my Top 3, at least
well ahead of the two [overrated] previous x-films, imo

Yeah, it's definitely up there for me. This film and First Class are probably my two favorites. I liked Singer's first two X-Men, though they haven't aged all that well. DOFP was good, but not as amazing as people make it out to be. The others aren't really even worth mentioning in a "best of" conversation.

After watching it a second time I'm bumping up my rating to a 9/10. So much classic humor that it's hard to keep track of it all. Best comedy I've seen since Tropic Thunder. The opening credits alone were worth the price of admission (such an underutilized part of most movies these days) and set the tone beautifully, even though they got directed by an overpaid tool :cwink:

Just found out they flitted across a couple legal lines to include Agent Bob in the movie. I'm not a huge comic fan, but I'd heard something about the character. The nice part was the joke worked whether or not you knew Bob's history.

I hope this movie influences other super hero films not to imitate it, but to follow Deadpool's example and forge their own paths and maybe be not quite so scared of R ratings.

It's like 80% Kelly and 20% Way and I was really glad to see that it had much more of Kelly's.

Awesome, thanks for the response! I can dig that ratio! :woot:

Can't wait to see this!

Best X-Men film ever! I'm going to see this again in prime/3D with my friends. I have never been this pumped up from watching a flick before in a long time. Wow. Impressed beyond the word. Reynolds owns this character. Deadpool was made for him. It had everything I wanted and more. Can't wait for the sequel and Cable. This is gonna blow everyone away. I'm glad it did well for its rating now W3 can take the same route and change their planning. Wolverine and Deadpool should be more mature, perhaps future X-Men movies will follow suit.

One of the best parts, so many great ones. Next to the regenerating hand scene. Can't wait for X-Force! I could see Lang as Cable. Maybe Dolph Lundgren as well.

I wanna rig next years oscars so Ryan can win best actor

only for him not show up...but for Deadpool to walk on the stage and accept the award on his behalf

Saw it Sunday. Very entertaining movie. In the X-Men universe, I would say tied for 3rd with The Wolverine's Extended Cut. I enjoyed First Class and Days of Future Past a bit more, but the movie is very entertaining.

Can someone explain to me why the final fight is on a helicarrier? Like, the in-movie reason. Why did they confront Ajax there of all places? Was that his secret base?

I think that's just another joke about the budget in comparison to other superhero movies, Avengers can afford a working one, Deadpool can only use a wreck of one or something along those lines.
