Deadpool Deadpool Discussion- SPOILER WARNING!!

Seeing Colossus the way he looked made me wish the studio had chosen to make him more comic accurate as they did here from the get go. Negasonics new mutant outfit also proved to me that a closer to comic accurate iteration works once again.

Too bad that wasn't Nichelle Nichols playing the blind woman! Uhura cursing up a storm would've been great!

I can't wait to see deadpool and cable fighting. It reminds me of the old X-force comics

@X-Maniac Cannonball was intended for Wadlow's X-Force. Negasonic wasn't picked to replace him. She was picked because of her ridiculous name. It fit the craziness of Deadpool.

Thats not entirely true. Miller has come out and said they considered Cannonball but ultimately went against him and brought in Negasonic instead

I'm cool with her being like Cannonball. She seemed to hold her own in conflict.

being older, I felt like the only one in the theater who caught the Are you there god? It's me, Margaret reference and one of few who realized the post credits was a parody of Ferris Bueller's Day off.

Nothing really sounded like Cannonballl was ever more then a discussion or thought.

We thought about Cannonball, but he would’ve been a stupid hick character, whereas the guys wrote Negasonic as this deadpan goth teen, which was a great angle. She turned out really well. There aren’t really many definitive Deadpool villains, apart from Cable. If we don’t put Cable in Deadpool 2 I think we’ll be run out of town on a rail.

We had it confirmed NTW has been in the script since at least early 2013 from an interview with Reese. So she's been there for awhile.

Garrison Kane changing to Angel Dust was the later change due to budget cuts.

I liked everything except collousus' cgi 9/10

Negasonic's X-Suit proved they can look good in live action and don't need to be muted.
subjective, i thought she looked better prior to burning off her regular clothes

At the end during Colossus' lecture, I kept thinking he was going to step out of form and stomp on Ajax's head, splattering melon all over Deadpool's face. Sort of payback for the hand period moment......

Was that supposed to be a helicarrier at the end? Looked massive.

Was going to say, everyone said it was a helicarrier, it had 4 turbines, if so that was a big easter egg.

It was certainly meant to look like a Helicarrier but I don't think it was ever addressed as to what that ship actually was.

awesome movie. 8.8/10 on IMDB. and Gina Carano is just gorgeous <3

Such a great movie. how cool would it be if they did a Cable, Deadpool, Omega Red fight for the sequel?? Ive been dying to have Omega Red on the big screen (and no I dont count Whiplash from IM2)

The trailers and sneak peaks really spoiled a lot of this movie. Wish they would have kept Negasonic's powers under wraps.

Negasonic is a psychic in the books. In the movie, he even asks her if she's psychic.

But she clearly has Cannonball's powers. It works because it suits the Warhead part of her name, but it's definitely not comicbook-accurate. Clearly it's been 'forgiven' because everything else is comic-accurate, and that's fine.

I really liked movie Negasonic. The costume, the edgy look with crewcut, black lipstick and multiple ear piercings, the powers. She fitted the film brilliantly.

8/10 for me.
Some jokes were great, some swung and missed
The action was very good, there were some nice inventive moments in there; though one more set piece to broaden the scope would've been nice. Having read the original script, I thought the third act was a little bit of a let down compared to the third act in the script, but I guess budget constraints played a not-small part in that.

Great performances all around, Reynolds, Baccarin, Miller and Hildebrand were all perfect in the roles, and even Skrein and Carano for being mindless henchman types did just fine, nothing special but they did their best with what was in the script/budget (though I agree they should have teased someone above Ajax, either Killebrew or maybe Sinister..?)

So yeah, I don't have much to add that hasn't been said.. It was far from a perfect movie, the plot was very paint-by-numbers, but it was a lot of fun with a great, source-accurate representation of the Merc

I loved that they got to joke on not only Fox, but also Marvel, and even DC once
Hell the 'helicarrier' idea was in the same spirit to what I thought Marvel should've done in the first Cap, had Hugh Jackman as a soldier in WWII with Sideburns and a cigar, don't make any big deal out of it and let the audience draw their own conclusions

Ooooooo quite like this
