And to think this was something waiting to happen for all these many years.

so far, i think every bit of news, pics, vids, etc. that we have gotten from Deadpool has been overwhelmingly positive

can't say that about the other superhero flicks

Reynolds, Miller and Co. are gonna knock this out of the park

There's much more to a movie than how it looks. We'll see. For all we know, the much hated 'Fantastic Four' reboot could actually be a better flick than this one, despite all the hate because of the casting, suits, etc.

The 'Deadpool' script from 2010 was solid fun, but needed a rewrite to elevate it from a 'just a fun action comedy' to something more, by working on the character development and heart of the story. I hope they managed to work that out in subsequent drafts, and that Tim Miller is able to make the most out of the character, including the deeper and more tragic aspects of him and his story.

I've always thought the original 'Lethal Weapon' movie was a fine example of how to juggle comedy, darkness and heart for something like 'Deadpool,', which is why I always thought that Shane Black would have been great for the material because Reese, Wernick and Miller came on board. And you know what, considering that they used Michael Kamen's 'Lethal Weapon' music in the test footage makes me feel better; Maybe the makers see the link, as well.

I think the draft did well to show why Wilson acts the way he does. It shows the tragic and desperate side to him. With how he doesn't want to let Vanessa see him rot away. It doesn't dwell on the depressing aspects too much, but that suits the Deadpool character. He has every right to be a grimdark and emo anti hero cliche... but he just laughs at the pain as a defense mechanism.

The ending is fantastic too where Deadpool has a tough choice to make and a chance to become a better person, to become a bonafide hero. The result is something that will really set it apart from most other superhero movies.

^Please don't say more, but damn I want to know more lol ;)

The draft could have needed a little more work on the development of the character, from Wade Wilson to Deadpool. For instance,

One thing from the comics I loved is how initially he was very concious of his new look arount women he was interested in, and scenes like the one where he's unmasked in front of Syrin, and totally loses his cool. I would've liked a moment like that. They kinda just shrug it off, instead of using it as a brief emotional moment (which wouldn't get in the way of the fun and action). I love the moments in the comics where he loses his cool and lets his emotions and rage get in the way. It rounds out the character and stories nicely, and makes you remember that it's not all just fun and games.

It's all in the details.

This looks great.

Chances are he'll be walking around the convention dressed up as Deadpool.

Ryan Reynolds Won't Be Playing Any More Superheroes After 'Deadpool'

"We all want to be Batman alone at home in our specifically-sewn Bat pajammies, but no, I have no desire to play any other superheroes after this," Reynolds said. "Hopefully we'll get to do 'Deadpool' again. Given the fact that it's rated R, the fans have to show their support for it, and they have to come out and make it worthwhile for the studio to make another one, but that's it for me. I've punched that superhero card a few times now, and that's enough."

Thats cool! I guess he is sticking doing X-Men movies from now on.

Or Deadpool sequels. He's just saying he's not playing another character.

I wouldn't put it past Ryan Reynolds to actually do it.

I hope they officially release the trailer online this weekend. Is that the plan?

I haven't read the leaked script and won't, but does this story focus around NTW being super important? She seems pretty important based on some of the photos we've seen of her and Deadpool. Pretty cool to see so many different characters involved in this story.

Oh, the photos of the supporting cast look great as is the Deadpool cast singing songs on Twitter and photoshopping themselves onto that pic of Deadpool hitchhiking.

Not a single thing so far has made me think this movie will be bad in any way.

It has to be some sort of trap.
