a draft of the Deadpool script
a draft of the Deadpool script
I saw the red band trailer the other day and it looked great. I also read since the Fantastic Flop DOA'd at the box office its sequel slot has been given to Deadpool 2. Having Cable in the sequel does seem like the natural choice.

If it is successful, I doubt Fox would try to mess up what worked the first time. Besides, even if successful, I don't see Deadpool jumping up to a $200+ million budget. We will be extremely lucky if the first one breaks $500 million.
Agreed. Wish studios would get ideas and scripts ready for sequels in the event event they can go ahead than announcing to the world a set release date before knowing if it'll definately go ahead

On Cable showing up...We certainly are talking about the sequelwe were talking about the sequel while we were making the movie just because when you make a film like this thats from a serialized source material, you hope that its the first of many But yeah [Fox is] feeling good about it, were all feeling really proud of it, so hopefully before it comes out we will be well into the process of figuring out a sequel.
Its certainly come up because hes such a big character in the world. And its a character that Ive always wanted to do in one form or another, we talked about Cable actually in Days of Future Past at one point. But yeah were in such the early stages of sequel talk it would be genuinely premature for me to say whether or not he was gonna be in it.
Ryan Reynolds stole his 'Deadpool' costume from the set.
The 38-year-old actor has spent 10 years waiting for the comic book movie to come to fruition so was determined he'd take home a special souvenir when filming ended.
He said: "I loved wearing it and I have run away with one - I'll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I've waited 10 years to do this movie so I'm leaving with a f***ing suit."
Despite his frustration that the movie took so long to make and on a limited budget, Ryan is delighted with what director Tim Miller has achieved.
He said: "Sometimes the long game pays off. I never thought it would come to fruition, it's been an uphill battle but there was such an appetite for that character on screen.
"We did it with a relative pittance compared to most superhero films, but it really allowed us to explore the character. When you see the movie, you would think it's a $150 million film, but actually it's not at all."
Going forward in his career, the 'Mississippi Grind' actor has made a decision to consider "anything."
