Deadpool Deadpool Spin-off Confirmed - Part 2

I'd say Ajax and Killbrew are his important major baddies. They are the ones who lead the Workshop which is where he is sent after being a reject post Weapon X. They torture and kill him over and over. That's where he gets the name Deadpool and becomes who he is.

Other major villains are Taskmaster, The Butler, Black Tom Cassidy, Juggernaut, Typhoid Mary, T-Ray, Slayback, Bullseye, Tombstone, Sabertooth and Garrison Kane. Also Thanos casue of Deaths infactuation with Deadpool.

Taskmaster and Deadpool fight quite a bit. Tasky can't mimmick Deadpools moves so there's an interesting relationship/rivalry between the two early on.

Obviously a lot of them would be out, Thanos of course, I would imagine Typhoid Mary and Bullseye left with the Daredevil rights, cant see Sabretooth or Juggernaut being used. Other than Taskmaster I dont really know any of the others.

As for budget, it shouldnt be any more than $60-65 million for me, they can do plenty with that, especially with the 3rd Riddick movie only costing $38 million and that had a lot of CGI in it.

8 out of 13 aint bad but yeah, if someone doesn't read Deadpool then they won't know Ajax, Killbrew, T-Ray or Butler. Those are pretty significant villains for him that tie to his origin, so they are Deadpool only.

Tom Cassidy should be fairly well known to X-Men fans though. That mainly came through because of Deadpools and Siryns realtionship.

Just like any Marvel character he's come to battle with just about everyone through the years. It's good that he has some villains of his own even if they are not well known . Gotta have sadistic villains since Deadpool is kinda crazy and on the border line of a bad guy at times.

I am an X-Men fan but dont know of Cassidy, in fairness I became an X-Men fan because of the 90's Animated series so not actually read that many X-Men comics despite being comics as a kid and from 2006 onwards also. I dunno, TAS always gave me my X-Men fix and then the movies started coming out so never felt the need to read the X-Men comics really, aside from some Wolverine ones and some crossover events with them involved.

Gotcha, TAS was awesome and still my go to X-Men in alot of ways so I know what you mean.

He's Banshee's Cousin who raised Siryn. Fought alongside Juggernaut alot. Think they teamed up in TAS at some point as well. Could be wrong though. In the comics Cable takes him down and he gets this weird Wood virus put on him to heal, but that starts spreading and Deadpools DNA is what stops it.

Vilain wise theres alot to work with, just not A listers. They can always go the Deadpool Vs X-Force for the sequel. Probably would sell more and grab fan hype with the well known names.

If there was Black Tom Cassidy and Siryn in Deadpool movie, they would have to explain how Banshee stayed alive somehow, maybe escaped to Ireland, and Erik, Charles didn't know it in 1973.

A Deadpool movie really doesn't need that much continuity with the X-Men universe. It should be its own thing. And for f**k's sake, I hope it won't be PG-13.

And potentially setting up the X-Force movie that Wadlow is trying to make. Also, I wonder if this means that Deadpool might pop up in X-Men: Apocalypse, since we know that he's already around during the 80's?

so PG-13 release, it seems, not hard to understand, as long as Fox releases a R-Rated blue-ray, Deadpool fans should be more than happy to have an actual movie of him

After all, Deadpool will be the second solo movie by Fox (from XMen comics) so his fans are lucky now

except we don't know what is happening with that.

Rob liefield said fox plans for X-force changed when they announced Apocalypse.

Rob Liefield says a lot of things. I tend not to take him too seriously.

He did keep in contact with Wadlow though, as well as some of the Deadpool makers.

HIA is right. Word is this is not gonna be rated R. From meet th movie press around 22:00

"I heard from the director that they finally figured out the script, and it was right before this was announced, that they figured out, and you guys are all gonna hate this, they figured out how to make it PG-13. And therefore "not lose its soul", and that' a quote, of the script so that they can make it."

Also Lifeld said this about a month ago about the Rating.

So much mis-information from the mis-informed in regards to Deadpool film. The version under review is a PG-13 version, not an R....

The PG-13 rating now allows for truckloads of violence and edgy themes.... An R rated version is not a consideration and hasn't been...

The brilliant screenplay has been equally brilliantly modified.... R is not a blockade any longer.

not a big deal, the movie IS happening, so these are times to celebrate

Kind of a big deal. The Rating has been the issue all these years. Fox was never gonna budge on the R I guess. So Ill definitely take it over nothing.

I'm sure it will still work but the script itself is gonna have to change pretty heavily at times. Which I guess it has now...

don't really mind if it ends up being PG-13

hopefully they go The Wolverine route and release an unrated version once its released on blu-ray/DVD

just glad it's finally happening!

R rated CBMs pretty much always flop. They were able to get away with a lot in Wolverine without an R rating

A lot of these can't be used. Tombstone is over at Sony while a lot of others are at Marvel. Taskmaster is part of the Captain America rights, Typhoid and Bullseye are packaged with Daredevil and Thanos is with Avengers. So those five are completely off the table.

If Fox is smart, they won't try to get any of those five back since there is no way that Marvel would ever sell them. Marvel probably would sell hit Monkey though and Fox does have things that Marvel wants. Namely the Badoon and Shi'Ar.

James Gunn aint getting rid of Hit MOnkey. He loves the character and uses plenty of animals already in his world.

Get TaskMaster (someone who actually poses a threat and makes an interesting opponent) if anything or just use what they have like I said above. They have plenty to work with and can eventually go Cable Deadpool.

it will have plenty of action, violence and deaths, we dont need to worry.

Wasnt the test footage pg13? if the whole movie follows that route with a great sense of humour and good characters, the movie will still be awesome.

Just saying there's some awesome stuff that definitely won't be used now.

I know.... but there will be a Rated-R Dvd, we can count on that. So it will be fine :cwink:

Your right. Just stoked this is being released.:up:
