Dean Devlin Plans Stargate and Independence Day Sequels, and Godzilla Remake

I'd love to see a sequel to Independence Day & see what the aliens have conjured up in regards to another invasion or destruction of Earth. As for Stargate, I would like for Kurt Russell to come back & maybe even combine with characters from the t.v. series. (i'm not familiar with how the movie/series would work in terms of continuity fyi)

The stargate sequel would only be of to the original film and Ignore the TV franchise.
The TV franchise Is dead now so this would be only chance besides a reboot of
something being down with the Stargate brand.

I remember an old old rumor where a second wave was coming.

The human's break up over some disagreement just as the new wave comes.

They have to band together again to defeat this next wave.

The only problem is the majority of people who know of Stargate know of it via the television series and not the movie. Obviously watching the television series means people are more familar with the movie but it doesn't mean they'll have watched it or accept a movie that totally ignores the canon of the television series.

I'd watch a Stargate sequel. It was like a sci-fi David Lean flick. I prefer that over the tv show which diverted to people with laser guns ect. I did enjoy Stargate Atlantis but at the same time I adore the movie.

Id4 sequel....Yeah I mean, I have fond memories of seeing the film in theaters and than wearing out the VHS. I am just not sure if you re-capture that moment in time. I'd see it for sure though. Goldblum is a must!

It just seems like the 90s was Devin's heyday and he is kinda desperate to get back to the status now since he lost it back then.

Not to mention the reboot-athon going on in Hollywood is hitting the 90's now so he's seeing a good time to cash in on some sequels before they reboot his stuff.

A sequel for Stargate that pretend the tv show never happened, hmmmm, wasn't the tv show what that made Stargate what it is today?
It was the only thing that made it remain popular for more 10 years.

C'mon, Dean. Stop living in the past

An ID4 sequel is possible just think of more U.S. landmarks and cities to destroy like Washington D.C., New York City, and LA again.

San Francisco
Honolulu
Philadelphia
Boston
Chicago
New Orleans
Miami
St. Louis
Las Vegas
Seattle

Others:

International Space Station
Cape Canaveral
Pearl Harbor
Mars Rovers
Voyager
The Alamo
Disneyland
Yellowstone
Gettysburg

With bigger alien ships and hybrid ships it could be better than Terminator Salvation.
