What a coincidence

Anyone see his last letterman appearance? He seemed to be showing off his wife like a trophy

These aliens had better look the same. No need to reinvent the wheel there.

While the ID4 are among my favorites, I honestly like the biosuits better than the actual all aliens themselves. I'd have kept everything the same, and have the biosuits be the aliens' final design.

But with Will Smith's character gone I wonder how they are going to explain his absence in the movie? Perhaps if they kill off Will Smith's character then that would make sense by them saying that his character died leaving Jasmine a widow or that before he died that he and Jasmine could have had a child of their own giving Dylan a little brother or a little sister or they could have had his character do a cameo only to be killed off in like the first or second act of the movie

Supposedly
Will Smith's character has gone missing. His disappearance and the circumstances behind it is one of the mysteries the main characters are trying to figure out in the movie. His now grown step son from Independence Day 1 is one of the main characters in ID2 and he is searching for Will Smith's character.

If this is true then I guess the aliens got him, and since Will Smith isnt in the film I have to assume his character either wont be found in this film or he wont be found alive.

no news but I have a question,

Has it been confirmed whether Jessie Usher's character is the same kid from the first movie or is he playing the biological son of Will Smith's character.

Last I heard he was playing the kid from the first movie.

Makes sense, due to all the "pew pew whoosh pew" and whatnot.

The Alberta Trailer Ratings page has the trailer classified with a 2:06 runtime.

Trailer has just been released, though it hasn't been put on youtube yet.

Doesn't look bad...

I know it's only been out for like an hour but im surprised no one posted the trailer yet.

Looks really cool. The SFX look bananas. Didn't really see enough to complain about anyting

I do wish movies stop lying about the tone in the trailers though. I get that it makes things seem more epic and dangerous, but it's always disappointing when the actual movie is something a lot different.

EDIT: Ah I see that Dark Lord beat me to it while I was typing my post

Blackman,

I think it's because the Hype was down, or at least it was down for me for a while.

Yeah the hype was down for me too. But im still excited for this. I just forgot about it. I hadn't heard anythign in a while

Also, what are people thoughts of this hitting a billion? With the nostalgia factor I can see this getting there if it's halfway decent

It looks really good. A lot of things I liked about the trailer.

A welcome surprise to see while watching my Niners get embarrassed.

I hate to say it, but the novelty of the first film was seeing famous cities being destroyed. Because of that novelty this just looks like a generic sci-fi film in comparison.
