The Dark Knight Rises Deathstroke in Batman III, would it work?

Never say never! I would never of thought Jonah hex would get a movie, even before GL & Wonderwoman, and if they ever do I think they will save Slade. Mind you, I thought they would of saved Kingpin for Spiderman :(.

They have trouble shooting a good Superman movie and generally applying superheros clad in colourful spandex on the silver screen, and you think they ll shoot a Teen Titans movie? A bunch of kids in flashy suits fighting bad guys? Only if its intended for a younger audience.
Jonah is just a cowbow with a scarred face and no matter where the story goes, his gritty appearence makes him less cheesy than a colourful superhero.

Kick-Ass, for example?
Not that much of a problem, imo. The costumes can be reworked, making it less "flashy", if that's the problem.

Teen Titans won't get a movie, so there is no point even talking about Slade being mainly a Teen Titans villain.

It's unlikely, even if they make a Titans film, they'll probably aim it at a younger audience and that means they will tone Deathstroke down.

i love deathstroke and would totally geek out if he were in a bat-movie... that said, their are other assassins of equal skill that inhabit gotham (I.e. Deadshot, David Cain, Shiva) who would be just as good.

How could you not want this in the next movie

Yeah, the whole part of the scales on the classic suit is that it's yet another nod to Captain America. If that was to be discarded and the supersoldier aspect of the character was jetisoned also, I would not be a happy bunny. One of the coolest characters in comicbooks would just be nutured and become just an ordinary [albeit highly trained] merc/assassin?

C'mon.

I feel so strongly about this one, I'd even go so far as to start employing the whole fanboy 'INO' thing for the 1st time, and I normally hate all that reactionary crap.

An ideal scenario for me is that Deathstroke is saved for another franchise, retains his genetically modified angle, and the filmakers use whatever method is eventually used to craft the new Captain America movie suit to fashion Deathstroke's one.

I got an idea to solve this realism thing for Deathstroke without disrespecting the source material too much or upsetting the comic book fans.

Have Deathstroke's role in BB3 be kind of his first appearance on film. Write him as the fully established assassin/mercenary with his costume, weapons and missing eye but not yet have the super soldier angle come into play.

Then in his own separate film, have Deathstroke undergo the super soldier experiment. This way, Slade's progression to fully becoming the Deathstroke comic fans have come know and love will be complete by having the super soldier angle finally come into play.

Y'know - I'd totally forgotten about that whole business - nice one.

The movie Deadpool debacle is exactly the kind of situation that I'd want to avoid with finally seeing Deathstroke on-screen.

Kingpin is Daredevil's archenemy though.

It would be awesome to have a hitman/assassin going after the Batman and be a true physical match for him. Much more than Ra's was also.

Jason Statham would be a solid choice for Deathstroke IMO.

He 's great but I'd prefer another guy,a little more serious looking because Jason is a little humouristic.

i think deathstroke would fit in the storyline, say someone hires him to hunt down the batman i could see that happening plus he would be such a challenge in a stand off.

The thing that would be good with Jason in the role, is the important thing would be the execution of the action and fight scenes.

A great actor would probably not be needed, especially since Deathstroke would have or not need heavy dialouge IMO. He would just need to be a vicious, cold blooded hitman/assassin killer.

His actions would do most of the talking.

Statham isnt exactly a stand up comedian in any of his films. If you see him injecting a little humour into a role, its largely because of the tone of the film, or the script.

He could do deadly serious no problem - go see Revolver.
