I know, right? They shure looked tasty! :p

Looking forward to Hannah next week. I need my Yvonne Strahovski fix.

i love the season so far, but a lot of it doesn't feel like it picked up right where season 6 left off... is it just me?

It should be cause talk about a lame subplot if that's all there is to his motivation.

Yeah I get the feeling we are gonig to be very disapointed with the whole Louis subplot.

I'm loving this season so far. That monologue by Dexter at the table was chilling.

Good episode last night, but I feel like the conversation between Deb and Dex wasn't long enough. It could have been cool to do a quick montage of them talking, with a Dexter voiceover saying something like, "I told Deb how I got started, about the code Harry taught me. She asked me about everything and everyone - Doakes, Rita, Trinity, Lumen. I told her the truth."

I guess I felt that Deb would have been much more inquisitive, even if it's a huge shock to her.

They're doing a decent job of having Deb deal with Dex. I'm rolling my eyes that the writers are going down the path of trying to get him to change AGAIN though, and he's actually questioning the possibility. AGAIN. I am liking the season so far though.

i think Deb finds out more and more of what Dexter has really done... I mean she was in love with lundy... lundy was chasing the BHB and trinity (whos daughter killed lunday bc he was hunting trin)... that is some stuff that NEEDS to be brought up.

as for Deb, she was ok with letting Lumen and Dex go in season 5... i know its not as extreme as what dex really is, but maybe she comes to accept what dex is because something awful happens and she believes someone deserves death.

and agreed on the whole 'tryin to change dex' stuff... Jeez, ok we get the point guys... dexter wants to change (now Deb does)...and that plotline ends with 'dex cant change'.. blah blah blah

another thing that is bugging me... Harrison... so wait Dexter moved in with Deb, but Harrison stays at the apartment with Jamie? the ****?

I know! I was thinking that as soon as Dex walked into Deb's place absent his son. That isn't realistic at all. Makes you wonder excuse they gave the sitter for why Dex would be staying at Deb's alone for a while. Not realistic at all.

Another great ep for what appears to be a great season aswell.

I also thought they 'rushed' things a little bit with Deb, but the writing for her scenes with Dex were well handled.
But, on the other hand, she always knew there was something 'off' with her brother, how he always kept things for himself, not very talkative. Maybe that's why it may not be that shocking for her, you know what I mean?

I think its clear the show regrets Dexter having had Harrison. He's been totally unnecessary to the plot in so long.

The worst thing that ever happened to this series imo was Dexter having a kid, it just makes things a lot more complicated and difficult to believe at times.

Ive never been a fan of Jennifer Carpenters acting in the pastl

Insane! She's the best performer on the show. I can understand not liking some of the writing for her character, but her acting has always been top-notch. And if you've seen some of her movies, you'd know she's incredibly verstile. I remember when Dexter premiered I was shocked that Deb was played by the same actress from Emily Rose. Talk about two completely different characters/performances.

you say that like he has been necessary before :woot:

I never thought the writers were actually going to go through with it, I had thought there would be a miscarriage or Miguel would have hit her or something causing them to lose the baby and adding to Miguel/Dexter conflict. But no, low and behold harrison is here...and might as well be an orphan.

bold statement there lol

People confuse the writing for the acting. I know Deb has not always been a popular character but it can't be ignored that Jennifer Carpenter constantly delivers an outstanding performance.

A friend of mine is absolutely convinced Harrison is going to have a story of his own before the end of the series. He makes the valid claim that if Harrison doesn't develop his own Dark Passenger, then his entire existence is pointless. Especially with his being 'born in blood'.

And while I agree with this, I'm not as adamant. I leave room for the possibility that Harrison turns out normal and Dexter no longer has his mother's death as the reason for why he is who he is. He just has to accept that he's a murder with nothing but nature as the cause.

As for Louis, I think his video game excuse was just a convenience. Not only did Louis defy Dexter's demands, and in an overtly cocky manner, he did this after Dexter attacked him in his own home and overpowerd him with Gorilla-like strength.

If Louis was just angry about the game, you'd think he'd just walk way from a spectral house invader who can throw him around like a rag-doll.

I agree, she is awesome... but the best performer on the show is easily MCH. IMO.

IMO, Harrison has no dark passenger. that was all debunked by the therapists.. he was just too young to remember... and it just sounds stupid to me.

Louis is definitely more... i find it incredibly lame Dexter actually bought that excuse and didn't do something when louis came back... I mean seriously, the dude cancelled all his credit cards and sent Dex stolen evidence... and Dex just lets him hangout with his son?

"Hey Deb, this guy hacked into my computer, stole my credit card #'s, cancelled my accounts, and sent me some stolen evidence I'm sure you'd like back... kindly arrest him."

I actually think that Louis was telling the truth about it being about the computer game. Dexter said to him "Who would choose to be a serial killer?" So Louis probably intended to pretend to be one (or even actually go through with it though there is nothing to support that right now).

Louis is crazy but a different kind of crazy than Dexter is used to dealing with which means that Dexter will have no excuse to put him on the table. IMO the interesting thing about this plotline will be how Dexter manages to deal with someone without resorting to lethal force.
