I have to agree... and to be honest, I didnt really believe that as much as I have this season.

First 3-4 seasons of Dexter I thought Jennifer Carpenter was useless. Now, I could actually see her being consdered for a best actress nom (not going to win, but nominated....plausable).

On an unrelated ote - LaGuerta, the most annoying character on the show for a long time, needs to be offed. Her angling in on Dexter is frankly, taking away from the multiple other story arcs they already have going on..and with a 12 episode season, its wasting valuable screen time.

If you plotted Deb's prettiness with her increasingly tan skin throughout the seasons, you would see a linear or possibly exponential increase.

I've always thought she was smoking hot. Every since Emily Rose. I've never understood all the hate she's gotten on here honestly. I think she's a fantastic actress

Because her character along with a lot of people on the show aren't given that much to do. She was basically Dex's foul mouthed sister that was gonna have her love life derailed once again.

True but that's at the fault of the writing not her. Her acting has always been top notch but just now this season she gets some juicy stuff for her role and now everyone loves her. Everybody gotta jump on the bandwagon

ive always liked the actors and actresses on this show... most of the time its pretty solid performances...MCH and Jennifer have always been great.

Exactly. Only character that's EVER been annoying to me was Laguerta. Quinn at first but you start to like him after a little bit

Meh I find all the characters to be varying degrees of annoying except Dex himself. I like Dexter, but I do think it has a very weak supporting cast.

Debra was in that category until they actually gave her some progression the last couple of seasons.

Really? I have always enjoyed the supporting cast even if they don't get much development, I love Masuka in particular, he's so deliciusly pervy.
