Dexter - Part 4

Don't get the dislike for season 5 at all.

Only one I hated was 6. Started decent, then quickly turned into straight up garbage until the last few minutes of the finale.

He tells the kids while wearing a Mickey hat.... Their reactions are offscreen...

Is this a joke?

its pretty simple... season 5's hate is because season 4 was so awesome... if season 5 followed, say, season 3.. it would have been a typical dexter season. but following such awesomness hurt it... and season 6, call me crazy, is a good season...compared to other series... just doesnt touch dexter standards. and 7 brings us back.

I'd comment on the kids but I guess that might be a spoiler, maybe.

I'd say S6 is still **** in general. Reasons spoiler tagged...

The reveal of Travis having his own Harry was telegraphed so much. Plus Colin Hanks never sold me as someone being menacing, laughable even at times. Interesting plot points completely wasted, such as Brian 'coming back', but they only made it last one episode. How can something as interesting as that mean absolutely nothing.

Once Mos Def was offed the season just went into the toilet. Surprisingly the one subplot I enjoyed was Deb's suppose feelings for Dex. I have no idea why people were so opposed to this.

YOU...............................................ME

I liked Season 5. It was quite good (not as good as 2 and 4) but better than 3 and the god awful 6.

6 actually had more positive elements and ideas than 3 ever did but the execution and casting was just ****. Still say Elijah Wood would have straight murdered it as Travis. And yes, pun intended.

I hear Colin Hanks sucked in whatever role he plays in Season 6. This true?

No. IMO its the writing that ruins it. hanks had potential. eh its one of those 'watch it and see the disappointment' moments. when its clear the potential for that season is :wow:

The writing didn't help him but there were certainly other actors that could've sold it better.

I found him laughable. Liked him at first but the last few episodes were just bleh

The biggest issue I had with season 6 was the wasted potential that Travis could have presented. Dex is always big on the code and how he doesn't kill an innocent. Had they kept Travis completely unaware that Gellar was a part of him, yet have Dexter figure it out, now Dex has an interesting puzzle to figure out. He essentially has two people in one body, one guilty, and one innocent (to a point). What does he do? His code never prepared him for that.

Unfortunately it appears the writers didn't know what to do either. So they just had Travis jump straight to being a main villain right off the bat.

Season 8 is officially the final season.

And damn it Spuzz! That ****ing gif man smh. Every time I come in here now I have to watch it at least a dozen times and laugh my ass off. Lol

Oh man that would have been fantastic. Add Elijah and fix the ****ing 'twist' somehow. cause
