Lol is that the first time you've seen me say that? I've said it at least like 5 or 6 times in this thread lol. He would've been so awesome as Travis. The twist was only as weak as it was because basically everybody saw it coming even before the season premiered. Ideally I liked it but yea the execution was just weak. I still will NEVER understand how this show made Edward James Olmos suck so bad. He just wasn't interesting at all to me. Mos Def was by far the best part of that season.

black/white dex/deb everyone surrounded in blood... like they are all at fault for not seeing who dex is... as well as the lines coming so close to them, saying like there were so many signs they should have seen... everyone looking at him in anger and disbelief... and harry like 'whats your next move'..

this is really going to get wild with everyones suspicion.

The reveal of Travis having his own Harry was telegraphed so much. Plus Colin Hanks never sold me as someone being menacing, laughable even at times. Interesting plot points completely wasted, such as Brian 'coming back', but they only made it last one episode. How can something as interesting as that mean absolutely nothing.

Once Mos Def was offed the season just went into the toilet. Surprisingly the one subplot I enjoyed was Deb's suppose feelings for Dex. I have no idea why people were so opposed to this.

I was one of the people infuriated by this.
 
Ehh it made sense to me. More than anything really though I think that psychiatrist might have inadvertently planted that idea in her head. Therapy can be a powerful thing and it's extremely easy when sorting through such complex feelings to get confused. I'm still a little angry the psychiatrist wasn't back for last season
 
OK so I just watched the clip from S8 and I love how heartbroken Dexter looked when Deb said she hated him. Man two of my favorite shows are ending this year Breaking Bad and Dexter one knew when to call it quits the other not so much. I still love them both tho lol.
 
How in the f*** will this conclude. Not one idea or theory fits for me. I want to say Deb
takes him out
but no ****ing way...

Mods, how about a series finale thread? with predictions? Spuzz is a new viewer, but given its a series finale... how about a couple of threads until the deed is done and then combine them to one.... i'd like to have convos with newcomers and 'up-to-dates'...basically make this thread the 'up-to-date books + show thread' and another 'catch up thread' book & show. ill gladly help put it all together.
 
there is really no purpose to having more than one thread. Sorry. I understand that there are new viewers who want to avoid spoilers, but every show has new viewers who want to avoid spoilers. We can't justify cluttering up the TV forum for someone who is seven years late to the party. Please keep it limited to one thread. As for the books....I think you can discuss them in here (or in the book section) without much trouble. The TV show isn't anywhere close to the books so I doubt you'll risk spoiling anything.

on the negative side, I see too much Emily Rose and fear waking up at 3:00 AM and seeing her picture
 
anyone think they will have a Big Bad for this last season? I wouldn't think so because I'd think Dexter would be the Big Bad for this season.
 
I still kinda want one though. I'm still upset Dexter has never encountered a cannibal on the series damn it.
 
Maybe Deb will end up sharing her secret with Quinn, whom she knew suspected Dexter (hired Liddy).

Quinn needs something to do this season. He's been worthless for two seasons. I don't remember anything significant from him in 6/7 or than dating the stripper.
 
Im actually really enjoying Season 5 so far.
